I don't see it that way, Martinez left for Wigan, the club who brought him to this country, who were in the Premier League while we were in the Championship.
Sousa left for Leicester, with a much bigger budget and to be honest, I think a lot of Swans fans would have been happy to drive him there just to be shot of him.
Rodgers left for Liverpool, no brainer if you ask me, those opportunities don't come along often, plus we got £5 million plus in compensation.

So given their success with us, they were effectively promoted to better things in their perception. The one constant through all of this has been Huw Jenkins, and every appointment he has made has bettered us as a team. So, for that reason, yes, In Huw we trust!

I will agree with Scotsjack here, say what you like about Spew, he does have a terrific record in apointing managers.

Martinez left to go the Premier League while we were in the Championship, plus he had a well established affinity with both Wigan and Dave Whelan. At that moment in time, Wigan would be a bigger job and higher profile as they were in the Premier League. Not an excuse, just a fact.

Sousa, would have been given a much bigger budget than we would have offered him, so, a bigger job. As stated, nobody put up much of a fight to keep him here.

I don't see how any of these are excuses, as for Huw Jenkins, he won't break the budget that the club work to, that may cause friction at times with the managers, but I'm sure they are all aware what the budget is before they accept the job. I quite openly accept that we have f**ked our finances at Swansea in the past so I am more than happy for Huw to carry on keeping an eye on the purse strings and stop us from ending up in that mess again. In the grand scheme of things, we are still a small club punching above our weight and a lot of the credit for that goes to Jenkins.

Apparently all is not well down west and I am hearing on the grapevine that Laudrup was involved in a bust up in the States and that Monk is in talks to takeover as Swansea manager.

Has anyone else heard this ?
