The fact that you were posting about his (incorrect) shirt number, to me implies that you felt that the deal was complete.

After all, why post about his shirt number if a deal wasn't complete?

Plus, you say that the clubs wanted to keep it under wraps, why not keep it under wraps yourself, to respect the clubs wishes? :ayatollah:

No problem. Genuine questions, no?

For me, if the clubs wishes were to keep the deal under wraps, I'd not have posted it online. Just my thoughts! That is allowed, isn't it? :ayatollah:

It broke on Sky Sports and Twitter, I named him as a target but kept the fact he was in Cardiff on Wednesday evening out of the public domain.

You're not still smarting from the fact Annis and I done you like a kipper a few weeks ago are you?

Just don't get it, one minute you're getting everyone excited by posting his shirt number (incorrectly) and then you're posting trying to keep everyone's feet on the ground and saying the deal isn't done.

In my mind, I won't ever believe a player is truly at the club until we see them holding the shirt. After all, we've lost out at the last minute many times before.

I do find the snide comments & back biting when a person, in the know or nor, posts information that other Bluebirds might find of interest.

How does anyone know what will happen until the deal is done? Between the player, agents, lawyers & the players entourage, until the ink is on the dotted line, the whole situation can change.

We call all read and see those posts which, whilst claiming to be in the know, are full of crap or a wind up. Alternatively others on here post information which is clearly accurate AT THE TIME IT'S POSTED.

I do not know Carl or Annis personally but it seems that they post the information they can at an appropriate time.
Remember the Dave Jones days when information about transfers was readilly leaked? When we lost out on potential transfers? Much of this information is commercially sensitive. We must not forgot that we are talking of multi million £ contractural deals.

Let's not look to pick holes in those who try to post informed material which (perhaps) we might not otherwise know about. Otherwise it surely becomes a disincentive to the poster to give material which otherwise we might not know about.

In the meantime, 3 points tomorrow please! :ayatollah:

In hindsight, I do agree that my comments were a bit OTT.

I did feel that last night that Carl and Annis both alluded to and made out that Campbell had signed. That's just the
way I read it and maybe I put two and two together and came up with five with some other stuff.

I do appreciate all the comments made and I appreciate that Carl is only relaying information he knows of at THAT moment in time and also the fact that things do happen to scupper deals etc etc.

With all this in mind, I retract my comments further in this thread and appologies for my outburst.

I think everyone is missing the point here. The fact that you post a shirt number on the board is taken as the deal being done unless shirt numbers are part of the negotiations and prior to a medical and signing these days.
There was also a post claiming first with the news again.
Simple case of jumping the gun and I agree no need for name calling by anybody.

To be honest Carl with the vein of form Graham's in the jacks would be mad to sell him off. Can't have to many good strikers.
Hull still trying to hijack though and are getting desperate
