Well not really, it's a two goal lead, people lose 2 goal leads in a single game never mind over two legs. Chelsea's most recent game, two nil up and drew two all. It happens all the time, and it wouldn't be embarrassing to lose 3-0 to Chelsea considering that the squad that they have, even with Stoke's great home and defensive record they managed to beat them 4-0 recently.

We're favourites but it's far from over. They'll throw everything at us and it will be a very difficult game.

No mate that's Spain. What you've done there is get an area of west London mixed up with a large country in Southern Europe.
I know your thick but chelsea are the european champions(club football) but don't act a complete fool.

Hook, line and sinker. You've had a right 'mare there son.

Just pointing out you cardiff fans dont know what you are talking about..

And you did so by failing to grasp the concept of self-deprecating (google it) humour.

We lost 3-0 at home to Middlesbrough, 3-0 home to reading and lost 5-0 on aggregate to west ham.

Somehow the prospect of losing to Chelsea who are the current European champions by 3-1 who would go through on away goal is hardly an embarrassing scenario. A likely scenario more than an embarrassing one.

Don't think away goals count in this competition!

I think they have just peaked, if they lose this 2 nil lead, I can see the slide begin, a bit like the to,e we beat Leeds in the FA Cup, it was steadily downhill from there.

None replying to Laudrup to leave, they know he will they have been there before, it must be terrible supporting such a small town club knowing that every time they appoint a successful manager, a bigger club like Wigan will take them

Away goals will certainly count, but I don't think they count as double like they do in a lot of European Cup competitions!

It'll all depend on if we keep Demba Ba quiet or not.If Benitez picks Torres then we'll go through comfortably i reckon and if he picks Ba then it's squeaky bum time. They play Arsenal later and a few injuries wouldn't go amiss.

All wrapped up in a nutshell...All I will add is that this is the type of thread that will give everyone on here a good laugh on Thursday if Chelsea pull it off! It's strange but I was far more relaxed about the play off match with forest when we came home at 0-0?

Yes, lets all laugh at Swansea for hypothetical future scenarios that may or may not happen

Yep.Chelsea away from home can be devastating so i'll be taking nothing for granted and in my head it's still 0-0.i'd hate us to just sit back and invite them on for 90 minutes.

Only Chelsea can win on away goals now... Took me a minute to get my head around it.

Those threads prove nothing, are you saying there was no bust up between senior players and Laudrup at the start of the season ?

Re: WILL SWANSEA REACH WEMBLEY ON WEDNESDAY

You should stay off Twitter,Carl.Which is where you get all your info from nowadays and more often than not the wrong information. If someone on Twitter said there was a bust up with Laudrup then it must be true eh :D

All looks a bit silly now though,Monk started again yesterday and we won.Not bad for a team that doesn't get on with the manager is it?

Depends what team Rafa plays. He's not played Ba today, so that would mean Ba plays in the week?

Most jacks I know don't want Europa league anyway!

My point is how you keep on thinking it's going to collapse, and how that's come to bit you back in the past, so you should probably learn from them (it's not really directed at your post, more so the one who believed that we're going to miraculously collapse from Wednesday).

We've got less reason to collapse now then ever before, it's not like the first time we rose up through the divisions. We've got a better infrastructure (new training ground, new academy and hopeful of a ground expansion), more supporters (plastics and foreigners or not), better finances (especially with this new TV deal kicking in next season) and a better team (not only in quality but in quantity) than ever before.

I don't believe there was any bust up between senior players and Laudrup at the start of the season, although neither me or you know whether there was or not. I don't believe that if there was a bust up, that the amount of senior players that have signed new contracts would have and that the amount of players that previously played for Laudrup would have spoken so highly about him and been so keen to join us as a result. Laudrup is a fantastic coach, and the results are there to show that he's a positive influence and has improved us as a team in so many different aspects so if there was a bust-up then I couldn't care less.
