Back to what i first said , i think taylor is a decent full back and does a good job for us but there are better in this league .
Because he plays for us people get there blinkers on and cant see past our players when really if they played for somebody else and we had any one of the others there perceptions on the abilities of these players would change.

Would you also say noone was the best winger ? or even top 5 ? personally i wouldnt but i expect because hes a cardiff player most of you will say yes

Craig Noone not one of the best wingers in the league despite being fourth in the assists charts

But sometimes the team adds up to more than the sum of its individual parts. You can find fault with any player if you wanted to, but as we stand 10 points clear at the top of the Championship you have to accept that the chemistry of Malky's side is right even if at times the play or players seem unconvincing.

Fair point, but is there a better left back we can buy? I dont think so, as for noone, on his day he is in the top 5 but not enough of him on his day tbf

without a doubt totally agree i havnt once said hes shit i said theres better full backs and nobody agrees

Re: This Taylor abuse

The FACTS are:

Since our defence has got its act together, we have barely conceded a goal. Of the
two on the last six, Taylor cannot be held at fault for either. LOOK at both goals!!!

Furthermore, had Taylor not done got forward as required, we would not have got
that winner.

Get off his back

If your going to quote FACTS. Get them right

I reckon he's playing badly as part of a Malaysian conspiracy to keep us in the championship and get more money. :old:

Re: This Taylor abuse

Sun Jan 20, 2013 3:16 pm

The fact is if you all take your blinkers off you would see there are better full backs than him around , im guessing malkey agrees since hes supposedly looking to strengthen that area of our team .
He is a good full back but not a very good fullback needed to go up with us .
And noone was just a example , again he aint the best but is a very good winger in a league which is particularly strong in that area this year .How many would have put him in a top 5 when he was a brighton ? bet half of you hadnt even heard of the guy apart from the echo .
End of discussion we will see if we go up whether hes on the bench or packed off back to the championship when his replacement comes in .

The facts are hes the weak link in our defence
he lost HIS man who HE marked all game for the pool game FACT
He is a good defender i have not once had a go at him or his ability i said and this thread was about there being better full backs in this league FACT
He got forward cos thats his f*cking job dont make that out to be special if he cant do it somebody else will .

he gets skinned by anybody with a bit of pace
gets turned inside out by anybody with a bit of skill
constantly out of position putting his c/b under pressure
when he does get on the overlap his crossing is diabolical
There is easily 10 full backs better than him in the championship alone

Your words. You also said he has been at fault for 'most of the goals we have conceded.

So.... he has NOT been at fault for 'most' goals conceded. Find me the last one that was his fault??

Also... Thomas Ince moved out wide for most of the second half and Taylor kept him pretty quiet.
He DID NOT get skinned alive by Ince's pace, he DID NOT get turned inside out by Ince's skill. YES
Ince done him once or twice, but Ince is going to be a very very good Premiership player

It was HIS overlapping that led to the winner.

You said there were easily TEN full-backs better than him in this division, three posts
later you already changed it to "well at least six!"

Taylor may or may not be what we need for the Premiership. I have my doubts. But for
this division he is excellent and deserves credit for turning his season around

Are you telling me Taylor Fletcher was his man all game? Their floating striker?

Have you ever kicked a ball in anger in your life?

You PASS men on.

When Taylor-Fletcher came over to the other flank looking for the ball do you think
Taylor should have gone too?

Clueless.

Done with ya now

Re: This Taylor abuse

Thomasblue youve named mainly right backs and cb's

Left out George Friend and Aaron Creswell also

Im not a big fan of Taylor tbh. Nice on the ball but cannot defend. Will do for this division though. Would like to see us bring in George Friend if we get promoted.

I GOT ONE OR TWO MORE IF YOU WANT THEM ? OR DO YOU JUST WANT TO ARGUE WITH THOSE CHOICES ???

Half of those aren't even left backs.

there recognised names because there good players , and i said full backs they were just off the top of my head and i dont play computer games boys .

Question . how many of you had heard of taylor before he came here and would you have put him in a top ten full back list when he was at middlesborough ?

Alan tate is a left back who can play c/b

Was with watford before us wasn't he? and it shows how much he came on imo harsh to say he not prem quality yet as he has played there

Stupid comment

Re: This Taylor abuse

A hell of a lot of people on here who think the football world starts and stops at cardiff city
There are better players in our league than the ones we currently have , its a fact get over it

If people read the whole thread not just bits they want they will see i said hes a decent player at this level but there are better full backs in this division right or left its a fact . He tries hard but is dodgy fact.
people who watch the championship not just cardiffs games will know this .
I know one or two have named players i didnt but who cares i named a few off my head thats all .
Ihave no problem with the way hes played recently but he is a weak link and wont be seen much more this year if malkey gets a left back in , if we do go up he will be a squad player at best .
How can you argue with that assesment its spot on !

Re: This Taylor abuse

Totally agree, I know as much as anyone how hard playing left back is, and to do it so well AND attack regularly takes some skill :ayatollah:

Re: This Taylor abuse

Sun Jan 20, 2013 4:29 pm

personally I haven't seen a LB that much better than Taylor that I would want to use some of our transfer budget on. much rather use budget on a big centre forward and a RB, assuming we have Campbell already.

I dont see anywhere on here or have been told of anyone abusing him, lost me on this one :?

Re: This Taylor abuse

most of the names on that list are not as good as taylor

and as someone has mentioned, you left out Friend!

i do like Parr though, think he is a very good player.

as for Noone not being in the top 5 wingers in the league? i think its close.

i would have zaha ince and eagles in ahead of him straight away, but i dont think there is anyone else who you could say was definately better than him.

I would not have Noone instead of Zaha. Zaha is about as consistent as Piers Morgan is at being a decent human being.

ah well thats opinions for you, i can only call as i see, zaha has done well over us in recent games, although kev was superb against him last month. Noone has several quite games too, i think its quite natural for a winger at this level to be that inconsistant
