Probably the best post I've read on this forum. Good read and 100% agree. :ayatollah:

The two best up and coming British managers in British football have both managed sides in South Wales also. Malky with us now at Cardiff and Rodgers at Swansea.

Whether you like him or not he did a cracking job down west and got in players to do the job when it needed to be done, on a tight budget and set the foundations for where they currently are. He is now transforming Liverpool into a side playing better football with more of a threat and his tactics seem to be sinking in there. They've been putting plenty of goals past teams of late.

Malky on the other hand has gone from Watford to us. He knew his limits in the first season and knew it was a period of transition but he got the team so fired up and wanting to play for one another that we made it to Wembley with arguably one of the most threadbare squads we've had for years. That was passion, that was players playing for each other and the manager, trying to make each other proud and do their best. We fell just short but we gave them a very tough game and even Gerrard admitted it was a very tough game which is a great compliment from a player who has played the likes of AC Milan and Madrid. This season he has had money to spend but that don't mean much proven by Blackburn and Rhodes' failure. However, again he has mostly brought in players who want to play for the shirt, has made sure there is a work ethic around the club and they battle and grind out results. Hudson throwing his body in front of shots, Whittingham even tracking back into the penalty box to put in last ditch challenges and Mason constantly harassing defenders making it hard for them to build up their attack. The passion is there for everyone to see.

Great for Welsh football to have two young managers go through the ranks of the two top clubs in Wales. :ayatollah:

Last season i was pissed off playing 4-5-1 at home againt shit like burnley and coventry... Maybe this was down to personnel at malkys disposal but i still believe that if kenny miller had some support up top he would have proved himself and probably would still be here, though this season things have change so much. Trying not to lose our home unbeaten record vs peterborough we went from 4-4-2 to 3-4-3 to 2-4-4 but just couldnt break them down!

The only thing i will argue with is having all 11 men back in our own area everytime we defend a corner, we clear it and they have all day to put it back in the box... Leave bellamy between the box and the half way line to cause a nucience of himself and maybe even catch them on the break.

Disagree. Defend at all costs. Our winner on Saturday was from the edge of our own box, and
who was furthest forward within seconds... yes, the favourite whipping boy Andrew Taylor.

Suddenly its 2-1 City :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Good point mate. I believe his man management is one of his strongest attributes and like lakey said it's something managers from that part of the world have particularly excelled in.
