I'll be renewing again and if possible get my sons first season ticket too. It seems painfully obvious that VT will discard the bluebird. Several media outlets already call us the "red dragons"along with our fans who decided enough was enough and then there are rival fans looking to bait us. I couldn't care less about that. To myself and the thousands of different generations who still go we're the Bluebirds and will always be the Bluebirds. Malaysian money men can't take what you have in your heart or in your head. Cardiff fans in their hundreds/thousands who have Bluebird tattoos aren't suddenly going to register for NHS laser treatment. Saying that I'm still grateful everything else they've done for Cardiff City, and apart from their rebrand whim I believe they'll take us to the next level and all this debt to equity malarchy doesn't concern me one bit. They've been bankrolling us for years now and the ONLY way they'll get a return on the huge investment is if they make Cardiff City a successful football club. I pray we return to blue one day, but until then I'll keep following Cardiff City FC as always

A few questions. My mother and brother sit in the corner of the Canton Stand next to the Ninian Stand, they were charged Family Stand prices as a one year iniative, I think this was to stop kids being able to go in the Family Stand on their own, is this still the same offer or will they be charged full prices?

Second, I sit in 105, my friend sits in 106, can he move as soon as they go on sale or does he have to wait until they go on general sale?

Will you be renewing or hoping to buy regardless or will you want to know if the re-branding is going any further before you commit to purchasing and do you think the club should inform supporters of any more radical changes, if there are indeed any ?

Do you know the date that they go on sale?

Probably 25th, could be 27th though

the pride and passion our fans showed at blackpool in sub zero tempeartures show me that Tan will never have that part of our identity. As long as thousands of city fans continue to chant "bluebirds" then thats exactly what we will be

I think it would be extremely naive of the club to come out and say anything at the moment. Things are going well so why risk upsetting the harmony?

I pray to god the bluebird stays but I think people have to decide if they want a ticket with the potential for it to be gone.
At the end of the day if we go up someone else will take that ticket so it won't impact the club, just them so it has to be a personal decision.

It's like me, I bought a red top for my nephew and hated every minute of it but I'd rather see him supported us in red than not at all.

As for season ticket, sign me up.

In an ideal world I'd like to know what the 'rebrand' plans are for next year BUT, in all reality, I (like 20,000 others) are going to renew anyways, so I guess they've got us by the 'danglies' and can effectively (as I've said before) do whatever they want with little or no REAL reaction :|

Given the 'choice' of where we COULD BE and where we MIGHT HAVE BEEN, it's a no-brainer for me, I'm afraid :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I can answer the second one, he should be able move into any empty seat. Check eticketing website for an idea of where the empty seats are. He may have to go to ticket office to sort it out rather than just renewing on eticketing website.

Thank you! Does that mean those seats will be on general sale to non season ticket holders or is there a period where only season ticket holders can buy?

Can't wait, does anyone know if they will be doing the finance again this season, mind you if my bets come in I won't need to bother. Did 4 £10 bets at the start of the season all involve City winning the Championship,a double with Man Utd and 3 each way trebles, Man Utd, Man City for premier league and either Swindon or Sheffield Utd league one. Please City don't let me down.

I'll be very unhappy (gutted to be honest) if we lose the Bluebird nickname and the bluebird from the badge...but I will still support Cardiff City. However if he fucks around with the name eg removes Cardiff then how the f**k can anyone support the club anymore? :ayatollah:

The extra 1,000 new season ticket holders can buy those empty seats aswell. So if he wants somewhere specific he should do it as soon as they go on sale. If people dont renew there will be other seats available later but obviously no way of knowing where they will be.

Demand is so high they may not have to bother with finance option because I'm sure they would sell them all anyway. My guess is that there will be some sort of option available

1. Yes

Think this answer may be wrong Carl, as if his seat is near the away supporters in The Ninian Stand, I was under the impression that these seats may be taken up for away supporters?

Of all the places to sit

I will renew, whatever happens. Looks like the blue away kit, and probably the bluebird, will be gone, available only in the 'retro' range. Sad, but what can we do? After all that, there is not much left that they can change! At least the Malaysians have got rid of the egg-chasers, and we have our own stadium again :ayatollah:

Re: " SEASON TICKETS GOING ON SALE SOON "

If the bluebird is removed, then I believe it will galvanise people to use it and refer to it even more, the colour change has been done and most have accepted it reluctantly or otherwise, but perhaps without starting a war, because I genuinely believe he's the type of man who will do things out of spite to show us "the who's boss" scenario.

He may even take it to the extreme, i don't think he's in a position to cut his nose off to spite his face, he's got far too much riding on it now, whereas previously it would have been easier to cut his losses, get back some of his investment and run, now that option has gone, but he can still hurt as, so a peaceful display such as every song we sing mentions the Bluebirds, everyone carries a A4 bluebird etc, just as a show of our feelings rather than a battle where the may only be one winner.

One of the first questions I asked the new CEO was is he strong enough to stand up to VT, and tell him that removing the Bluebird may be a step to far, and he don't want to risk the crowd turning on him. If as we been told he is falling in love and loves the fans adulation, then let him keep it rather than alienate us. Fingers crossed for a good outcome for all of us. :old:

I agree here, Lets be fair you behave in regards to the rebranding as bone of contention every opportunity you find well if that is the case fine! but you seem hell bent on stirring up a hornets nest when you see any slight chance which I believe is unhealthy for our football club.
Personally I don't care if we play in a strip of pink with pale blue spots I am just grateful i still have a football team to support and we are cruising towards the Premiership .
unlike a small MINORITY of people on this forum I have no ego or alternative agendas to fuel and like the MAJORITY want to see my football team achieve the best that is possible .

Very much how I feel and I will be renewing whatever. That said I can understand how some fans might feel about the rebrand and after the way it was implimented last year then every fan I suppose has a right to question before committing.
