I have had this argument with many people in work who I call 'Soccer Fans' the only thing that seems to get under their skin.
They just cannot understand why I would not see the winning of the FA Cup, Premier League or Champions League as the ultimate goal for ANY fan. The support a game that is now all about winning.
I suggest that the game I watched was not just about football but as much about the friendships, trips, clothes and relating your team to where you live. It was a way of living NOT just about winning.
The only way I sort of get through to them is that IF it's about winning trophies at the highest levels, why do fans go and watch non league football? They would all give up and sit at home watching Sky Sports, unfortunately this is what has been happening over the years.

Well nows the time to put up or shut up We will not be playing in blue next season. So If we care that much about the colour we won't be renewing our season tickets will we ? forget petitions here's the opportunity you been crying out for to show the club how you feel.
Good post Dicey. I agree with your post. Either you support Cardiff City with a new vision or you don't. If you don't, don't buy a season ticket and do the honourable thing like TLG.
Eventually we will end up back Blue at home, come back and support us then.
For those of you staying with me.

So telling/asking someone not to tell people what to do, or what not to do is acceptable. Is what you are really trying to say is, you can ask, but no one else can?

I won't be told that I should not go if I don't agree with rebrand. Just pointing out to the poster that he doesn't really have the right to say that. Simple as that.

So you wont be told, but it's OK to tell him what you want and what suits you, isn't that total hypocrisy.

Why should anyone stop going because they don't agree with the vision. Also as a fare paying customer yes Chuckle has the right to ask for what he wants. Nothing hypocritical about that at all.

Now I read that as telling me I shouldn't buy a ST as I don't agree with Tan and his vision.
So I merely pointed out that he shouldn't be telling other fans what to do with regards to their supporting of the team.
Where have I told anyone what to do?

So why the hell would I turn into a glory hunter for one season when I have protested against the very principle of glory hunting since our club was ripped apart by greed.

I work hard , pay my bills and one of the few pleasure in life after all is said and done is watching Cardiff City at the gates and having a drink with my mates before and after the game ...
I'll watch Cardiff City no matter what colour they chose to play in and don't need people like you making out we've rolled over and sold our souls , because after a hard week at work some of us still watch Cardiff City play in RED.. BIG DEAL get over it

The club will not care (if city are promoted) whether people renew season tickets. They probably have a waiting list of people who will pay a lot more (couple of £100's) for the seats, as the ones leaving are probably on the 5 year price freeze. Financially it will be better for the club if people do not renew.
We all have our views on the colour change (I am 100% against it) but I will renew , even if only for one season, so I do not regret the chance of seeing the football club I have supported for years, play against the biggest clubs .
The premier league is the only way our club can hope to survive long term, so we have to accept it at the moment.
Then see what the future brings, when the club is financially more secure.

Totally missing the point, our Alex is big on everyone being allowed their opinion, yet when someone puts his opinion as to what he thinks people should do, then he says they shouldn't tell people what to do, but that's exactly what he's doing, you can't have it both ways, either people are allowed their opinion as long as it is legal or they aren't.
Is he telling him, he can't have this opinion, or that he can't share it, what sort of message board debate is that????
