Too many colours and should be no words. Change the yellow to red and you may get it through the gate.

How about a flag with Ninian Park and the words "Ninian Park, Our True Home" on it, then add memerable moments from times at ninian around the main picture of the stadium, e.g. scott young's celebration vs leeds etc? Just a thought This would also be timeless

I think that you need to have a long hard think about what goes on the flag, Malky has been with us 18 months and you want to immortalise him! Things change very quickly in football, if he has a rotten start next year, he could be gone after 10 games, or a bigger club comes calling and he leaves us, just like Rogers or Martinez down West. Then the flag becomes obsolete very quickly and becomes a waste of time and money. We need some flag, but it all needs discussion and thought.

Would love a Malky flag but..... I think it would be better if it where a bluebird, in blue.Not dis-respectful,just our own connection with the club and its history and would look class if/when (hopefully) we get to the prem.Bluebirds

Told you. Dont plan on it being blue either. They wont let us. I made blue based designs in hope more than anything but deep down knew they wouldn't let us.

Wayne has said the Malky flag will be fine without approval from Simon Lim, but anything else would have to be referred.

how about Ninian Park at the top saying From here then a picture of New stadium saying to here, then old badge saying from this and then new badge, to this. And then Cardiff City Fc, Loyal til The end.

I say keep with the Malky idea, Malky will like it and he's not going to be one of those tossers who'll just leave us for someone, he understands us, goes on about how it's a tough economic climate etc, so he'd do something like buy it and give money to charity or something, I really like the Malky flag idea, the one James designed was good, it has both colours, could we do it in Dark Blue and Red or Red & Black?

I will donate but if the club are going to play funny fuckers then count me out.

Would be a good idea the bluebird sounds good I cant see the club having any problems with it .

This, red and blue would be better if you could somehow pull that off.

I think with a Malky design as well, if he sees how appreciated he is, it could swap him if he gets an offer from a mid table club.

Do I stay at Cardiff where im worshipped and loved so much they made a flag in my honour or do I move to a mid table team where they may not instantly take to me and I could be out of a job? Whether we like it or not its a big gesture and he'll probably get all soppy and have a heart to heart with Cowie.

I agree, set up a paypal and get all the Cardiff facebook/twitter pages notified, let everyone vote on some options they'd like (e.g. the yellow and blue one above), get a quote from a manufacturer and get the ball rolling - let's get this done!

Why don't you just ask if they'll accept the blue/yellow? I don't like the blue/red just because it looks weird, either that or another design. Just make sure everyone knows what's going on throughout the process, maybe a temporary seperate sub-forum should be set up on here (like general chat, exiled fans etc.) to allow everyone to keep updated?

Liverpool still have flags of previous managers surfed across or waved in the Kop so even if Malky left we could still surf it if we wanted as HOPEFULLY he will be remember for his time here with the same kind of admiration we show to Eddie May and Jimmy Schoular
