Brighton are a very good team and tbh i think they have been unlucky in a few games this season, they could be higher up that 7th, its going to be a hard game, i think that we will win 1-0 but a test for us.

Like Brittcutt said in the interview after the Blackburn game, we fear no one in this league and will go to Cardiff looking for the win. We've been to defensive playing with no wingers and 2 or even three defensive midfielders. Gus has come out and said it's a win or lose from now on so shall be interesting to see the team selection tomorrow evening. Got to start with Buckley on the wing or Lua Lua.

Sounds like we are in for an exciting game of football tomorrow night mate, end to end hopefully, a draw wouldn't be the end of the world for us. :ayatollah:

That's what I want, end to end football and if we lose heavily then so be it, I'd rather lose 4-3 than 1-0. Want entertainment and hopefully we can do that for the remaining run in, like I said above it's shit or bust so I'd rather we went for it and if we miss out playing great football then I don't mind. Rather lose by taking the game to the opposition than playing our defensive shit. We'll see if Gus keep to his words tomorrow night. Should be a great game.

You are good enough to beat anyone in this division, but I think we will be to tough for you, best you will get is a draw, but if you do come out to play we will beat you 3 - 1 :malky:

Re: Tomorrow night.

Mon Feb 18, 2013 7:48 pm

The best way to play us is crowd the midfield and play one up front and try for a set piece. The one or two teams that came to play got well beat.

I think there will be goals tomorrow, might have a fiver on over 3.5 although we have been so stingy conceding goals we have to score own goals to check the scoreboard still works. :P :ayatollah:

Hope its a good game and you lose, but then go on a mammoth run because you play the right way.

Hope we get the :malky: :malky: tomorrow

Forgot to add - Yes a point would do for you as every point get's you nearer auto whereas one point isn't good enough for us so we are better at going for teams from the off and trying to get all the points instead of 1 as they aren't no good anymore.

If we are to make the play-offs and show that we are good enough then we need to go to places like yours and give a good ecount of ourselfs and take 3 points. If we can't go to places like yours and win then we have no business of being in the play offs as if peterborough can win then why not other teams.

You're one of the sides I LEAST look forward to playing.
You're probably the best Footballing side on the league.
I hope we can keep the ball better than last season

U
We keep is extremely well but get really frustrated when teams refuse to press forward. All the commentators have said our game suits the premiership and not the championship because we don't like em up and at us which they are right. Just hope Bellamy isn't playing as he's a pain in the backside. bloody head ace that fella.

If Saturday is anything to go by, trying to play too much from the back could hurt you...
We had Bellers but now Campbell is also a defenders nightmare

Do Brighton still play the 451 / 433 system with the 2 wingers ? If you do and still try to play football like before then i think you have got 1 hell of a chance. Peterboro was very similar. 2 very wide wingers and played neat football and they destroyed us.
Or have you signed Ulloa to play off Craig Mackail-Smith (Allways plays well against us) as does Buckley
What other threats have Brighton got ? Barnes allways seems to be on your scoresheet but not a player iv rated.
Bad blow for you boys with Hoskins out for the season.

Thoughts to your post from me is that I think it will be a tight game and probably a draw if you come and defend but if you come to attack us then, as some posters have said, be prepared for a pasting although I will predict a 2-0 win to the Bluebirds.

I expect the players to produce what they have been doing almost all season, which would lead to me expecting a win.

I expect a tough game that could go either way. Anything can happen in this division. I bet you also expected a win vs Peterborough didn't you? Look how that one turned out.

That's it isn't, this league is so unpredictable, anyone can beat anyone on their day just like Boro proved. That what gives us hope, if Boro can win at your fortress then why not us and that's our mentality for tomorrow. The players will be reminded and geared up big time. I'm expecting fireworks.

So how do they play now ? 442 ? Im glad to hear they dont, missing my 1st home game this year due to work commitments and was looking forward to the Brighton game, Wasnt very confident but after hearing this im thinking another comfortable 3 points are on offer. Your not gonna like hearing this but we havnt really played wel all season at home. But Saturday we was very impressive and its looking like we are hitting a bit of form at the right time. Safe journey if your coming down. Expect a poor atmosphere compared to what we was like at Np. Our new home is a soul less bowl design

Re: Tomorrow night.

The only team that beat us was because of a fluke goal which allowed them to sit back and hammer us on the counter when we massively over committed.

If you come to play I fully expect us to beat you. If you look at the games we've played best during (Wolves Home, Burnley Home, Blackburn Away) it's been because we've been attacked and they've let us tear them apart.

If you sit back we'll probably grind out a win somehow.

I hope you attack though, would like to see a good game of footy :ayatollah:

That's the problem Double G, we don't know either. Gus is like rafa benitez, tinkers with the team and formation week in week out. On our match day forums we guess the team and formation and are always wrong. Even when we've won he'll make 3 - 4 changes. He worries about the opposition than let them worry about us.

This is why I have said and keep saying it he's not the man to take us any further. He's reached his limit.

back.

the only real difference at home is our wide players will have a bit more of a go at your
full-backs, we will press whenever possible and hope that Noone, Bellamy, Campbell and
Smith can get at you. Give those players space and they will hurt you. The reason we are
top is because OUR defensive unit from Bellamy right back to Marshall will bust a gut all
night to deny you possession.

Do I think we will win?

I think Malky Mackays first instinct as a manager is not to lose mate, and to take it from
there. THATS what champions are made of ( i hope    )

Did you know if we go 1-0 we win. strange.

Anyway, I'm off, looking forward to the match tomorrow and may the best team win. Been good chatting with you all.

Stats like that remind me of Dave Jones when he was our boss, not a good sign I assure you.

That's why Gus isn't the man for us, he landed on his feet when he got the job, He keeps banging on about he wants to manage Arsenal , Chelsea, spurs, No chance. Our fans think Gus shit doesn't stink but they are so wrong.

Our new home is a soul less bowl design[/quote]

Double G,

Not denying there have been games where we just did enough, but our excellent home results includes performances against Wolves, Burnley, Blackpool where We were excellent, good against others including Hull & Palace, then you could argue others where result more important than performance such as Boro and Watford.

I expect and hope for an open game tomorrow, have a lot of respect for the way Brighton play, but I think our confidence and belief is high and expect us to win by a single goal, 2-1 .
