It's ok. Women are merciless creatures when they're in packs. I reckon you just quietly refer to him as something else when they're not around. It could be your little secret. Just like when you'll both go down the pub and smoke some cigars when the wife's away! My guinea pigs and I do it all the time. Animals love Hamlet, trust me!
