But what if we got mats playing in the center who you gonna have on the wing?, just cos we got better players for that position doesn't mean we can't have backup
Mutch, Whitts, Kimbo, Gunnar, Eikrem, Burgstaller - all can play central
Kimbo, Burgstaller - can play out wide
I'm not saying he would be a bad signing. We just have better options imo and the defence should be our priority
only Noone and Burgstaller are wingers! what if one gets injured? Eagles would be a decent signing... seems to be OGS likes rotation, so we need more depth out wide instead of playing CM out wide!
Whitts and Kimbo can both play out wide. Daehli played most of his games out wide for us last season.
Defence is the priority
............IMO

I'm not saying that we shouldn't sign Eagles at all. I just dont think our midfield should be a priority, and I'de like to see us linked with some defenders

Plenty of time to get defenders in no need to panic

Why do people not read my posts?
God forbid you might learn something
I am not panicking. I am merely saying that I believe we need to Prioritise the defence

I remember him scoring a screamer for Man Utd in a pre-season tour and the following week, Burnley signed him for 300k. I thought he was a fantastic signing for Burnley at the time and I thought with regular games, he would utilise his talent and potential to get back into the Premiership. I remember him tearing Mark Kennedy apart at Ninian Park when McCormack scored those late goals to win us the game and he impressed towards the end of our Championship winning season too, scoring against us.
Why Eagles hasn't gone on to better things I don't know, as the talent is definitely there. I get the impression he only turns it on when he wants to and can be a bit of a luxury player at times. He's torn us apart in the first half and gone anonymous in the second half against us a couple of times. But on a free, you can't turn down a player as talented as Chris Eagles. Even if he doesn't produce for the full 90 minutes, he would be an asset off the bench to run at tiring defenders, add extra width and change the game. Eagles would definitely be a good signing for us on a free.

Cardiff City could swoop for former Manchester United star Chris Eagles

Eagles played alongside Bluebirds’ manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer under Sir Alex Ferguson and is now a free agent after being released by Bolton
Former Manchester United winger Chris Eagles could be swooping into Cardiff City Stadium.
Eagles played alongside Bluebirds’ manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer under Sir Alex Ferguson, and the two men could be working together again this season.
Cardiff, Middlesbrough and Burnley are all understood to be keen on Eagles, who was released by Bolton Wanderers at the end of last season.
The 28-year-old is an experienced midfield player who signed for Bolton three years ago in a £3m transfer from Burnley.
Eagles impressed for Burnley at Premier League level, and the Lancashire club would love to have him in their squad again.
The task for Solskjaer is to tempt Eagles away from the North of England, where he is settled, to South Wales.
During a three-year stay at Bolton, Eagles made 93 League appearances and scored 17 goals. He had a frustrating 2013-14 campaign, scoring only once in 14 appearances, and was not offered a new contract.
