I'd agree. I'm disappointed about that. Thought better of him.

I think Ramsey was on 60k before he signed a new contract, Campbell is not on the level of Ramsey IMO, 40k is probably an average PL wage but that would be for a lower half PL team who'd just got promoted. 60k is disgusting, no wonder they pulled out

I was shocked by Campbell on this![]()
Remember Jay Bothroyd got £50,000 a week of QPR when he left us.

His agent is obviously doing his job trying to get the very best deal for him and with contract negotiations, it's the agents job to chance things with a big demand to start and then the negotiations begin. Leicester will put their package forward, then Campbell's agent will either accept Leicester's counter offer, or reject it and then drop the initial demands down to 55k a week or something. Eventually, they meet in the middle and they agree on something like 45k a week. That's how contract negotiations work. In this instance, it seems Leicester have been completely put off with Campbell's initial 60k demand and won't go into further contract negotiations at all.
Regarding Maynard, he's gone over 2 and a half seasons without a run of games (he was a bit part player with West Ham before joining us), so cut him some slack. Reading the Carmarthen match report, Maynard seemed to be the striker who looked the most dangerous and impressed the most. Give him a full pre-season to get fully sharp and he will be a great player for us next season, as long as he's given a run of games. But I have a nasty feeling Ole will favour his own strikers before Maynard, so Maynard will once again not be given a chance.

Its just money, money, money with the majority of players these days. I bet the only one who really appreciates it is John with his measly £5k!!![]()
If we get £10m for Medel thats great business! £10m + Fonte for Marshall wouldnt even be a bad deal either although id rather we sell Medel than Marshall. Jones needs to go, hopefully Caulker will be gone soon too, absolute mercinary! Sell him and replace him with a new CB and i think we are good to go. If Campbell goes or not im not even that fussed, we have so many options up front now.

It's not unfair at all, Campbell's ability doesn't match 60k a week. Of course he wants the most for himself but he's not a 60k a week player
