I deserve better than QPR, yet I have been stuck with them for 42 f*cking years, so just a couple for Mutch won't mean much in the shape of things in terms of his life. He will think that he has got away lightly compared to me and he will get paid for it! :D

Hopefully untrue. He'll tear the championship a new 1 as long as he stays fit.

It's just tabloid reports....

I don't believe any transfer rumour from a newspaper because of all the shit you need to filter through before they accidentally get one right.

Kalou, Lennon, montero and Yobo to Cardiff was put about last season... Brilliant...

Mutch To Join Caulker

Jordan Mutch could become the next to leave Cardiff, unless Gary Medel beats him to this? Reports continue to claim that Inter Milan have signed the Chilean but there's no official word.

Sunderland have been tracking Mutch this summer as they looked to take him back to the Premier League, but meagre offers of a little over £2m were quite rightly rejected but if the reports from the Daily Mirror are accurate then £5m will secure his signature with QPR set to sign him as they did Steven Caulker.

I'd really like us to keep Mutch as he's coming into his own now but with him proving that he's Premier League quality I can see why he'd want to return to that level and not stay with us for this Championship season.

We would get compensation for him if he didn't sign a new contract before it expires next summer but it wouldn't be likely to be as much as £5m, so if the winger doesn't have any intention of extending his contract with us then this is an amount we couldn't really refuse could we?

To be fair, all the QPR posters I've read on here have been fair and made good contributions to the board.
My personal view is that Mutch would be a big loss IF he stays fit. It's a big IF.
On the other hand, there must be some hungry & talented midfielders out there who could replace him ... £5mill isn't to be sniffed at if true.

Agree with all of that. Just think he has improved the longer he's been here and potentially could be our driving force in the middle.

He is a pivotal part of our team and offers what very few other midfielders in the Championship and arguably even the BPL do. Ole must do his best to keep him, it doesn't matter how Mutch they offer.

QPR interested in Jordan Mutch and are set to activate his release clause of £5m. Hmm

Re: ' QPR in for Jordon Mutch '

Sat Aug 02, 2014 9:29 am

Its a funny old game, but I have never really been a fan of Jordon. Can't pass, can't tackle (as if that's allowed anymore) good runner with the ball and a good distance shot. In the Malky one striker system he was very valuable ,but in the championship playing with more attacking players he is not that great a central midfield player.

No player grows up wanting to play for Cardiff or QPR unless you support that team, they are merely stepping stones. Playing in the championship or Premier league, now lets guess which is better for your short career. We'll have no option, he has a release clause which will be met by a lower prem club......

IMO Matts best position is central attacking free role, which is Mutch's position- Matts is better, much better !!!!!

We can't let him go he would be the player to build a team around! He's young, had a great season in the prem and can definitely build on it. Letting him go would be ridiculous

Sunderland Echo

Transfer talk - QPR set to win battle for Sunderland target Mutch

QPR are hopeful of completing a £5million deal for Sunderland target Jordon Mutch, according to reports today.

Cardiff midfielder Mutch has been on Sunderland’s radar this summer, with the Black Cats thought to have seen a £3.5m bid rejected.

The Bluebirds have been holding out for a £5m fee for the 22-year-old, who netted seven Premier League goals last season.

And it appears as if newly-promoted QPR are willing to splash out that sum, with reports indicating that Harry Redknapp’s side are set to win the race for Mutch’s signature.

Agree with this.

We might be better off looking for another winger to replace Mutch so that we don't have to play Mats there.

Also there is a lot of pressure on Burgstaller hitting the ground running and Noone staying fit this year. Not many people will agree with me, but I think the wings and being able to play with width has been our weak spot for a few years now.

Yep. Culitvate Mats in a central attacking position and get a new winger in to provide cover/competition for Noone and Burgstaller. But i also think we need a specialist box to box midfielder.

You are the f*cking tool. A tool with a sense of humour by-pass. My comment to Stan was tongue in cheek as evidenced by the laugh and thumb up at the end. I like Stan as most of us do on here.
