Firstly, this kickabout will not take place at CCS, quite simply I told you last week that after the Stereophonics gig the Malaysians have paid a lot of money to get the pitch relaid and have paid much more for the heat lamps to give the pitch the correct conditions to grow.
Secondly, this is being organised by 2 messageboards and there is talk of a charity benefited also which is fantastic but the club has nothing to do with it and people who work at the club are going on holiday at this time of year, ie Steve Borley and Wayne Nash.
Finally, I have organised football matches for many years as a secretary of a local league football club and what you must do is go to the local authority and pay for a pitch permit ( £50 approx ) to play on a public pitch but most councils take their posts down in close season, obviously not living in Cardiff I do not know if this happens there, or you find a private ground and ask if you can use their ground and facilities but obviously you then become responsible for looking after it's changing rooms and other equipment you may use.
I hope this helps anyone who is trying to organise this match.

Thanks for that Carl.......I have been in touch with the council and cardiff have taken all there posts down the only pitch that is available is llanrumney academy which charge £78 per game including 2 changing rooms, i did provisionally book this but no one wanted it so have now cancelled it, There is othing else which anyone can do now except play on a pitch that you use jumpers for goals and that seems quite silly really, but im gonna let everyone decide on what they want to do

Edit: In fact yeah, two 7 a side teams from AAMB and CCMB. Two squads of 10 players, that's 20 from each board which is what we have. Play each team twice and the group winners win the tournament?

MOZZER1 wrote:this pitch problem ?
as i mentioned last night at this moment in time the posts are up down the marl in grangetown . this is the pitch that butetown use in the south wales senior league .not the actual parks pitches . i will be down grange on saturday to find out if they plan to take them down in the near future or not
the marl is not too far away from the CCSC .
I can get hold of nets and corner flags and perhaps if i could use my influential gift of the gab perhaps players could use the changing rooms over the channel view leisure centre
so you lot playing 5 a side now or the full 11 a side ?
