Why should we be penalised? Refuse all the tickets they offer now, it's too late for Leeds to dictate to our fans a few days before the game...hopefully we can get permission to beam it back live to our stadium and we could watch it there,
Correct Corky,it's not the fans faults.

Wouldnt go to leeds now if they gave me the tickets free. Still going to travel, hotel already booked but theres no way that small minded nasty little club is getting any money from me.

Be less than 500 interested in that I would suggest.

Season ticket holders aren't coming for real football. Can't see they would get people for a nothing game.

I feel sorry for the fans who've bought their train tickets in advance, they definitely won't get a refund.

Will the club also lose money if they take 500 ticks and we only take 200 for instance?
The club will probably realise fans dont want to travel like they are being told aswell but i feel sorry for the hardcores that go week in week out!

CARDIFF CITY & FANS ARE BOYCOTTING THE GAME & HAVE REFUSED LEEDS CONDITIONS
LEAGUE RULES STATE CARDIFF SHOUKD HAVE AT LEAST 2,000 TICKETS.
A spokesman for the Football League said: “The Football League remains in discussion with both clubs on the matter but cannot comment further at this time.”

Fans' groups at Cardiff City say they will be boycotting their side's upcoming fixture at Elland Road in the face of unexplained restriction to their allocation.
Leeds United have offered Cardiff City just 500 tickets for their match this coming Saturday, an amount describe as "derisory" by Cardiff City Supporters' Club (CCSC).
Despite repeated attempts by Cardiff City, fans' groups and Welsh press to find out the reasoning behind this decision - no answers have been forthcoming from either Leeds United or the relevant local authorities.
Speaking to Wales Online, the website for the Cardiff Echo and Western Mail, FSF National Council member Vince Alm said: "They have offered us a derisory 500 tickets which wouldn’t have been enough.
“We have complained about that and the reason why we are only being given 500 tickets - We haven’t heard anything back from Leeds and none have been sent.
“We have had a meeting with the club and a lot of us would like the club to send the tickets back and boycott it. It is unacceptable really."
The Bluebirds have visited Leeds on six occassions since 2002 - visits which have been free of major incidents. Likewise, Leeds United have been to Cardiff seven times since then and enjoyed trouble free trips. For the Championship fixture in November at the Cardiff City Stadium, Leeds were given 2,200 away tickets.
Since the news of the restrictions broke, the club, CCSS and the Cardiff City Supporters' Trust have received no answers - and it looks increasingly likely that they will refuse the tickets.

Taken from the Leeds forum.
I've been speaking to their Trust today and they were offered up to 1,000 unrestricted tickets at the beginning of March with LUFC stewards accompanying official CCFC away coaches all the way to ER without any RV at the beginning of March with any other individuals or groups meeting at an RV point to collect tickets. This was rejected by CCFC and 1,500 tickets were demanded WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS on a take it or leave it basis. Even when a compromise was offered by LUFC they still rejected it thus meaning the FL had to step in when the 500 tickets were deemed to fit requirements as to the average away support of CCFC over the season. CCFC kicked off about this even after the FL intervention leaving this avoidable situation as a result.
I have emailed them this afternoon asking for them to consider all factors next season and that LUFC had made efforts to recognise what they did in the reverse fixture last October.
It makes no commercial sense for LUFC to impose the restrictions so to be blamed in the article is rediculous journalistic nonsense.
Sometimes people overreact and this is what appears to have happened at CCFC. Lets hope they get their house in order and stop blaming us as their Trust can see exactly what has happened and why and have been in communication with CCFC based on the facts of the situation.
I doubt LUFC will get an apology but wanted to put the facts 'out there'http://www.lufctalk.com/forums/viewtopi ... 4&start=10

Cardiff City (or whatever they are called these days) face a humiliating chant of "Is that all you bring away?" to an empty away section as enraged fans of the Welsh club are threatening to boycott Saturday's clash at Elland Road.
Leeds had implemented a "voucher scheme" for the fixture, whereby fans have to arrive at a M1 service station at a pre-determined time to swop the voucher for a match-ticket. Similar restrictions are imposed on Millwall fans. However Cardiff officials cited league rules which stipulate a minimum of 2000 tickets have to be issued. Leeds responded by offering just a quarter of that which fans have blasted as "derisory".
Leeds have refused to comment on the situation and I'm sorry, I'm with the Welshies on this one. Surely there can't be that many trouble-causers bothered with travelling all that way to watch the dross served up under Russell Slade? The last time it really kicked off was over 13 years ago at Ninian Park after a FA Cup 3rd round tie when League One Cardiff knocked then Premier League leaders Leeds out. All that really happened were some silly children ran on the pitch and the Police didn't keep order!
Surely we are shooting ourselves in the foot by denying entry to thousands of passionate, desperate Welshmen, willing to pay up to £36 a ticket to hopefully see their side lose to Leeds for the first time in 31 years?
This clearly is an indicator at how chaotic things currently are behind the scenes at Leeds at the moment?

500 tickets is an insult to start with. Who are they to estimate how many travel based on the average attendances? Truth is that they should have allocated 2000 places and that's it. If 200 turn up, tough!! Leeds were given the red carpet treatment by contrast on the opposite fixture. No restrictions on travel and plenty of room to rattle round in!!
This is down historical problems between the fans. It has been very safe the past 10 years so why the draconian baby sitting?
In fact, as many have paid for travel already, they may well go up and end up in pubs and clubs for the game. So much for keeping a lid on it.
I don't blame the Leeds fans. But it is they who will bear the brunt of resentment. Terrible treatment of fans in my opinion.

It could also be that the club see us as there main League/Cup bogey club and they are looking to put us at a disadvantage at Elland Road with minimum support for CCFC
It's now been 16 games head to head since they had a win whigh goes back to Season 83/84 in Division 2
Let's hope it continues

While I agree I think it was always going to be risky considering they have always been bubbles I believe. I certainly wouldn't have got a train ticket.
What annoys me is other clubs never seem to get restrictions placed on them when they come to the CCS yet we always seem to.

In fairness it was a fair assumption to make that leeds would return the Favour given that the two clubs agreed to no restrictions at the beginning of the season..the irony is that there's probably going to be some of us in the Leeds end now, which will cause its own problems.
I'm looking forward to a good weekend in Leeds with good nightlife good music and good beer but the reason we booked was to watch "good football"

Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that we will be returning our away tickets to Leeds United for the Sky Bet Championship match this Saturday.
Having consulted in-depth with official Supporter and Travel Groups based on initial control measures and the subsequent offer of only five hundred unrestricted tickets from Leeds, the shared view amongst supporter representatives and Club officials was to return the tickets as a matter of principle. We can also confirm that Leeds United have declined our request for a beam back to televise the match at Cardiff City Stadium.
Cardiff City Football Club CEO Ken Choo said, “It’s extremely disappointing to have reached this conclusion, but having listened to collective views and in knowledge of the positive record and reputation Cardiff City fans have built at away fixtures in recent years, we have no option but to return the low number of unrestricted tickets on offer out of respect for our supporters.
“Our preference was for Cardiff City fans to be granted the same respect and freedom of travel as provided to over 2,000 Leeds supporters for the corresponding fixture this season, and we are frustrated that this could not be permitted.
“As is the case at Cardiff City Stadium, supporter safety should always be the priority. With the intelligence and information available however, we consider the event to be routine and manageable and that that the travel and ticket restrictions in place are substantially out of proportion to any perceived risk. As stated by our Supporter Groups, we also believe that West Yorkshire Police could manage the event without issue or restrictions, if they chose to do so.
“For the game on Saturday we are frustrated at not being able to support our players in what we consider to be fair numbers and also question the rationale in denying our request to show the fixture via beam back at Cardiff City Stadium. Doing so would at least allow our supporters to experience the match, albeit to a lesser degree than preferred.
“That said, looking to next season we can assure Cardiff City and Leeds United fans that we will continue to facilitate sensible travel and access measures, generating the best possible match atmosphere from both sets of passionate supporters.”
Cardiff City Supporters Club Chairman Clive Francis said, “Cardiff City Supporters Club fully endorses this decision and is grateful to the Football Club for supporting the stance taken by the various travel groups.
“We appreciate that there will be some fans who will be disappointed by this decision. However from the feeling generated by those supporters who travelled on the CCSC coaches to Reading on Saturday, the majority of those travelling fans were in favour of a boycott of this fixture based on the derisory ticket allocation and second rate treatment supporters have received during previous visits.
“Hopefully by making this stance the Supporters of Cardiff City Football Club will be treated with more respect in the future. The ‘bad old days’ of unacceptable behaviour by a small number of ‘fans’ have thankfully been left far behind us now. This is now reflected in the respectful treatment received from the majority of clubs we visit. Let’s hope that this message hits home loud and clear to Leeds United Football Club.”
A spokesperson for Cardiff City Supporters' Trust said: "We fully support Cardiff City's decision to refuse the limited number of tickets on offer.
"Cardiff City didn't impose any restrictions on Leeds fans earlier this season and we can see no reason why Leeds can't reciprocate.
"There was an agreement at a meeting before Saturday's match that Cardiff City will not retaliate against Leeds United fans next season and they will be treated the same as any others. This is entirely the right approach."
Cardiff City will continue discussions with the Football League on this matter in the weeks ahead, while we would advise all Cardiff City supporters not to seek entry to Elland Road for this fixture. As to be expected, no away tickets will be made available to Cardiff City fans on Saturday.

Leeds United: No away fans at Elland Road on Saturday as Cardiff reject ticket allocation
Yorkshire Post
Thurs 09 April 2015
Cardiff City will have no supporters at Saturday’s clash with Leeds United after returning an allocation of 500 tickets in a dispute over travel restrictions.
In a statement released tonight, Cardiff said they had asked for 2,000 tickets from Leeds - all allowing unrestricted travel to Yorkshire - but were limited to a quarter of that amount.
The Welsh club have rejected the offer, a decision which will leave Elland Road devoid of away fans this weekend.
Cardiff, who have regularly faced travel restrictions to Leeds in the past, brought a crowd of 446 when they last played at Elland Road in February 2013.
The club’s chief executive, Ken Choo, backed the boycott, saying: “Our preference was for Cardiff City fans to be granted the same respect and freedom of travel as provided to over 2,000 Leeds supporters for the corresponding fixture this season, and we are frustrated that this could not be permitted.
“As is the case at Cardiff City Stadium, supporter safety should always be the priority. With the intelligence and information available however, we consider the event to be routine and manageable and that the travel and ticket restrictions in place are substantially out of proportion to any perceived risk.
“As stated by our supporter groups, we also believe that West Yorkshire Police could manage the event without issue or restrictions, if they chose to do so.”
Cardiff also claimed that Leeds had rejected their request for a beamback of Saturday’s game to the Cardiff City Stadium.
Neither Leeds nor West Yorkshire Police have commented on Cardiff’s statement.
