The irony is that in 2005, Sam's answer to the many problems he was encountering at CCFC at the time was ....... to employ Peter Ridsdale!

We can't blame anyone else for Ridsdale's arrival at the club. That was very much Sam's work.

Under the circumstances, do you honestly reckon his return would be a good idea?

I'm talking about Sam, not Peter.

Sam cannot be held responsible for PR after he had left the club, PR had more or less free reign after Sam's departure. And we keep talking about the past, the past will get us nowhere as the future we need to fear. Hey Dave, you know its always better the devil :ayatollah:

That's brilliant, that post made my night. [/quote]

Glad a sense of reality acutally made your night!

From the whats in the echo today, its clear that this has never been about Jenkins or his ability to do the job.
It was about engineering an opportuntity for Sam to come back as the saviour and as the only one who could take us forward.

Hope you enjoy being a sheep who follows in a flock!!!

I've spoken to Sam on numerous occasions since he stepped down as Chairman. You know that. In fact, the last time I spoke to him was during the middle of last week. And he's told me all sorts of things over the years.

Nevertheless, I don't believe his return here would do any of us any good - least of all the man himself. By the time he left here last time around, he wasn't a well man. He looked greatly improved when I last saw him though. While I have no doubt he misses being involved here, life away from CCFC seems to suit him.

HE IS LIKE A NEW MAN, I PROMISE YOU :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

aint he been ill? Would all the stress that CCFC is likely to bring be a bad thing for him.

To be honest I have no opinion one way or the other. A bit of honesty, integrity and best for the club would do me - from anybody who want to run my club.
