Apportioning blame for that inconsistency which is the real issue. Every manager makes tactical mistakes and Slade has made his but that is not the full reason. We also have to remember the off the field issues and the fact that WE the supporters deserted in our thousands and those who stayed felt disenfranchised.
If the feel good factor which has recently returned had been around earlier then that might just have been enough to push us into the play-offs.
