Trollope will get what he's given which is not necessarily what he wants.

which is why I was happy when he played more central for us. he played better, in my opinion.

Weren't really effective out wide and wasn't effective as a striker and was piss poor in the running to the season upfront everyone could see it apart from clueless Slade and anyone who thinks pilkington is a good option for us or any team wanting to get promotion is quite frankly off their f*cking tits and as clueless as slade.

Lol I do rate pilkington and he's a hard working player and could do a job for us but if we signed other quality wingers then he wouldn't be missed imo. Pisses me off the people who go on about him as a striker that's all mate when he was shite for the most part playing there but if you want a hard working striker to not score goals he's your man lol

Well said that man, I agree with you, he won't score enough to get a team promoted playing the 10 or 9 role. It's a long way from the strikers we had like Bothroyd, Chops, McCormack

Pilks would be great for 4-2-3-1, which we should play. He's not a striker, but did okay and worked really hard. He's a very goof player who will be missed. If he does leave then it's all about not offering him an improved contract because Vinnie the Red is still cutting costs and collecting parachutes before he eventually jumps....at the right moment for him, not the club. That's what what crooks.....er, businessmen do.

No doubt on a big wage and let's be honest if most of us were managers we would look to get more pace out wide? And better upfront?

So why is it odd to get rid of a high earner that you hope to get better than?

A question to you Wez, Do we buy replacements?

I hope so this summer annis I think we desperatelyneed two winger s and a proven pacey striker

100% with you on that Wez :ayatollah:

Do you think Noone could improve under Trollope? Are we still in for a pacey striker?

Noone I think can still do damage. But if I was a coach I'd be pulling my hair out if he cut in every single time. He needs to be more daring and to hit the bi line but the problem is he hasn't got a right foot.

I think slade had a big impression on how he played. Always safe.
If I was Trollope I'd be looking to use Noone as a key player with freedom.
