Why would it be any different if you had kids with you? They will become aware of all parts of society at some point and something as innocent of hand holding is a good starter.

IF IT WAS YOUNG KIDS THAT DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE BIRDS AND THE BEES. IM OLD FASHIONED IN THE SENCE THAT I BELEAVE THAT KIDS ARE FORCED TO GROW UP TO EARLY THESE DAYS. YOUNG KIDS AT THAT AGE ARENT INTERESTED IN LEARNING ABOUT THAT THEY JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THERE CHILDHOOD. WHEN THE TIME COMES I WANT TO TALK ABOUT ADAM AND EVE NOT ADAM AND ADAM OR EVE AND EVE. THERE IS PLENTY OF TIME LATER IN THERE YOUNG LIVES TO COVER THOSE WITHOUT HAVING TO EXPALIN IT ON THE SKYRIDE. AND BEFORE YOU START JUMPING UP AND DOWN MY STEP SON IS GAY. SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS FORGOT THEY WERE ON AND COULDENT BE ARSED TO CHANGE IT

Exactly, they couldn't care less![/quote]

Yes but they could ask why are those two holding hands. Sorry Claire im old fashioned i don't want to answer that question. Most prob tell them that they were scared of the ride, pardon the pun  .There were a few lads the same age as them behind and they did look uncomfortable. And for our PC brigade what if they offended our Muslim friends ? Now that would be another argument

No wonder, if that's how you'd explian it to a five year old
How would you explain a man and woman having sex??? Sally loves the taste of.......... and Dave likes to ram his dick into sally???? I don't think so!
Whats wrong with telling them that two people fall in love. Sometimes a man can love a man, and a woman can love a woman. At 5 or 6, I'm sure they wouldn't care less.

Yeah i was being pedantic Claire. But when it comes to it i would tackle it much more sensitive. I believe that Adam and Eve should be explained before Adam and Adam as not to confuse them. Recently my boy asked me about wet dreams yeah i felt embarrassed but i tried to explain with out being crude. When the time is right to talk to your kids about sex ETC that is up to the parents, they know there kids better than anyone else. But to have it forced on them now that's different.

By telling them wont make them gay though, they are either gay or not. Two people holding hands is hardly having it forced on them.

Of coarse it wont as i said earlier my stepson is gay. Even though he has problems admitting it. One minute he is more camp than Julian Clarey the next he has a girlfriend. Haven'T got a clue whats going thou his head but at the moment we are protecting our son from it. At the end of the day most people haven't got a problem with homosexuality but they are uncomfortable about seeing it openly.

How do i feel about two women ? well that's different but that's not being sexist its just doesnt feel repugnant. As i said above my stepson is Gay perhaps BI but im ok with it as long as i don't think about it. I know this sounds hypocritical but that's the way i feel. In the same way i couldn't care less if couples enjoy taking part in a golden shower. But if i saw it i would heave. It just dosent float my boat.

I once was told by a couple of gays that I should accept it and they felt sorry for me as I have a long road to go down. I just replied I will never turn on that road. When I told my GAY mate this he replied to ignore the twats because they were known in his circles as bad poofs.

Hi Claire. Do you travel to games at all? I was a season ticket holder for several years - until this week. As my travelling companion from Devon is emigrating I thought that it wasn't economically possible to travel to every home game on my own.

Are you just going to come over for a few games this season then? I know its not cheap to get here!

Yes, Claire. Maybe alternate games now. I'm am quite disappointed to relinquish my season ticket but will still make the effort as much as my pocket permits :-)

Fair play to you.

I have seen someone walking through town (Taunton!) in a City shirt. It could have been you?!?

Not me I'm afraid. I am not one of those people who consider a football shirt suitable attire to walk around town in (he says pompously). I think I know who it may be though...

What is very ironic is that I run website www.cardiffcityexiles.com so that exiled fans can find someone to car share with and I can't now find someone myself!

That really is ironic :(

Just had a look at your website. Great idea! Could you drive to Bridgwater and share with one of them? Or anyone travelling up from Devon?

That's a shame. Thought you'd probably tried already, but worth asking.

I'll do a thread on here now, see if anyone else can help. It's worth a shot! I'm not on CCMB or any of the other messageboards, but you could ask on them too if you haven't already?

You are very thoughtful, Claire... but I have covered most bases :-)

I must away now to the land of the Wurzels. A rare visit to Bristol. Enjoy your weekend

I was out in Aberdare last night and saw plenty of hetrosexuals holding hands kissing etc. I even saw a bunch of hetrosexual lads pretending to bum each other. No one batted an eyelid. So why should anyone object if there were homosexuals there acting in the same behaviour?

Unfortunately, homosexuals are not treated as equals and I think its awful. It we were subjecting a race to these discriminations, there would be uproar.

I think people need to see past sexuality and just see the people and love.
