In the 70's and 80's every Rugby fan I met Laughed at CARDIFF CITY and I WONT FORGET.

Boys in school used to take the p1ss out of me for being a City fan, as they supported Liverpool or Man U.
It didn't bother me as they were all shit players, so i'd be laughing at them in the playground

Funny thing is I often see them down the CCS now

In line with my point above. The issue is primarily one of Cardiff playing at a higher level with many fans either losing interest or finding an alternative. This rugby v football thing is overstated. Rugby followers are no more or less prone to "plasticity" than other parts of society. Make these new/returning fans welcome or they'll pack their bags and its back to gates more suited to Jenner Park than CCS. PMG is about making money not some machiavellian plot planned by a Dr No figure in the WRU. It's greedy money men that the fans need to keep an eye out for, not rugby fans with a similar interest in football.

Mike Hall 100 % Egghead.
Paul Guy No interest in City Whats soever, his business partner is Pure Egg and Both attend many many Egg games.
Then they brought in another Egg Gethin Jenkins.

ITS PMG who in MY OPINION ARE HOLDING CARDIFF CITY TO RANSOM and HOLDING CARDIFF CITY BACK.

THEY HAVE NO INTEREST IN FOOTBALL WHATSOEVER OR CARDIFF CITY FOOTBALL CLUB.

Hiya Annis

Mike Hall hasn`t been a director since Langston launched their first legal claim against the club ages ago.

That's absolutely true but Mike Hall along with Paul Guy became directors to Cardiff City Premier Seats Ltd on the 30 March 2010 and as far as I can see are the only directors.

I remember a report that the 2007 takeover was going to be funding by a number of investors buying £500,000 worth of shares who were known to be prominent egg supporters (I don't know if that actually happened)

Any way if it did or didn't it is my personal opinion the 'egg takeover' thing sprang from that and has never been extinguished because of PMG's association with rugby through Hall & now G Jenkins.

What a great post.

Frist it introduces a new word into the English language 'plasticity' which apparently means fickle. ;)

Secondly it uses the word 'Machiavellian' which one of my favourite words even though I have no idea what it means

And finally it give Paul Guy the best nickname ever 'Dr No (payments)' :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Where else but AAMB do you get class like that? :P

Agreed, it's nice to see a well thought out post on here for a change

Anyway, I digress.

Like many of you on here I used to despise rugby "yawnion" with a passion due to being forced to play the bloody game in school and the biased, blanket coverage our national media give it. The Western Mail and Wales on Sunday are quite shocking rags when it comes to sports coverage, particularly when Wales are playing rugby. In fairness, the SWE is much better certainly in the quantity of it's football coverage, if not it's quality.

I must admit that I've mellowed in this view over the years and find myself less anti egg chasing. I still regard it as a rather boring sport - "the only game where the crowd sees more of the ball than the players" remains my favourite phrase for it

However, I'm slightly less concerned than others on here about this so-call "egg mafia" in prominent positions within our club. My concerns, as outlined in a previous thread, are more to do with PMG seeing CCFC as a "cash cow" over the years rather than the rugby connections of Messrs. Guy and Hall. If they do not intend investing further in our club then they should get out as soon as is practically possible. Sadly, seeing as we owe them so much money I don't see this happening in the forseeable future.

I strongly disagree with some posters anti Gethin Jenkins stance. Many of you never gave the chap a chance, purely because he came to us from a rugby club!! He has an unenviable job following on from Ridsdale and we, as fans, need to give him time to get his feet under the table and leave him to get on with the job in hand. Due to the financial mess we are in I understand and accept that he will, on occasions, need to be slightly economical with the truth in statements he makes. This is a fact of business life i.e. putting a positive spin on events.

Sorry to put a spanner in the works. I was referring to a mythical Dr No figure in the WRU controlling the actions of PMG. Of course, if you like the idea of giving Dr No status to Mr Guy, I would not want to stand in your way. One suspects that Mr Guy might be somewhat touched by the moniker. If you continue down this route, you will have to develop a whole host of characters - the big question being who would be Bond?

Cheggers because they do NOT HAVE CARDIFF CITY AT HEART, HOW CAN RUGBY MEN RUN A FOOTBALL CLUB, This is why its partly in such a Terrible Mess at the moment.

how can anyone from a different background to football run a football club? If that argument is used then I would imagine that most professional clubs in this country are beiong run by the wrong men (or women of course)!

Annis with the greatest of respect, we are not in our current financial mess due to Gethin Jenkins et al, its due to many years of living beyond our means and massive financial mismanagement. This is due in no small part ot Peter Ridsdales regime and also that of Sam Hamann, who despite peoples rose tinted lenses, did leave the club with massive financial problems
