You bring up very valid points Carl and I think we now must be on our absolute guard with anything that comes out of the club. Like in the Ridsdale years we have to look closely at all the detail.
For example the link you have provided above has the quote “I can confirm that the HMRC petition debt has been settled in full.”
Note the words 'petition debt' which was the £1.9m outstanding and settled in June.
However, we know that CCFC run with tax arrears and I bet the next installments were due within days of that debt being settled meaning we again entered an embargo when we failed to settle.
So Jenkins would always have the fall back point that he only mentioned the 'petition HMRC debt' not any future debt.
It is that kind of spin we must guard against and be willing to question.

And when the trust met with Gethin Jenkins the day after I did, am I right in thinking that they were told there was no embargo, or were they told that at a later meeting ?
Whichever way, the club were under an embargo.Period.
I will support this club through thick and thin but I will not stay silent while certain people people at the club lies.
