Capaldi and Feeney aren't fringe players? Sorry, Nerd, I don't follow this argument
Played more games domestically than some of the Welsh youngsters. Also vastly more experience.

You're arguing my point for me Nerd! You mention 2 players that you allude to as desirables for Northern Ireland that could still only get fleeting appearances here when a severe selection crisis in their relevant positions was evident! Feeney is now playing third tier football I believe, while Capaldi is a very ordinary second tier player at best. Whichever way you dress it up, both are struggling to get a game at second tier level. There are far better players in those positions than those two at Toshack's disposal, namely at left back Bale, Gunter, Ricketts and others, all of which are playing regularly at a highger level (stature and performance) with many more that have retired, indeed the very same solid experienced pro's that earlier you dismissed as 30+ year olds with nothing to offer and now seemingly yearn for! As for strikers better than Feeney, Ched Evans, Sam Vokes, Earnshaw, Church and others are all playing at a higher level than Feeney, indeed even the newest addition to the squad Steve Morrison now plying his trade at a higher level.
The direct comparisons go on that prove Toshack has at the very least a similar pool to the likes of Northern Ireland and in all likelihood better, yet yields consistently far worse results.

i think its the luxury life of a footballer, does what he wants,,,,,,,, players shouldnt retire from international football, the international team retires you, they just dont give a toss playing for there country anymore,

Indeed Ninian and I wholeheartedly agree, and as stated above, retirements are not exclusively Wales problem, but we are by far the worst affected. In truth, International football has for many years now been a joke for me, boring and second rate in comparison to club football which is king. Even major tournaments are boring beyond belief on the whole with the most recent World Cup just gone being one of the worst ever.
Back to our Tosh and I'm still chuckling at Nerd lusting over the mercurial talents of Capaldi and Feeney! Brilliant! Apart from the fact they are crap and we have several better players than them anyway and better players who have already retired, were they Welsh they would no doubt have retired due to Tosh anyway!

Hardly "lusting" after them - giving two obvious examples of players with vastly more experience than our squad - we have better quality than N Ireland, just inexperienced...
Give it time, the performances have improved...

He royally fecked it up and let his ego deprive us of one of our best ever opportunities of qualifying. I admired Hughes as a player and thought he was harshly treated at Man City but his latter years as Wales coach and constant negative influence since has been difficult to stomach.
Toshack has actually done quite well considering the circumstances in which he's had to operate but it will soon be time for him to step aside, we all know he wants another crack at the Saes.
The only one with an ego is toshack, why do you think so many of our players retired when toshac took over, savage, speed, danny collins, koumas, parry to name but a few, he wants his players to lick his ass just to play!!! The list is so long for the amount of players who have fallen out with him!!
Even though I would like to see Tosh & the boys do well, it just aint happening!!
