JUST SPOKE TO CARL

I think we are all getting a bit edgy and sensitive at this stage, myself included. This could be the biggest signing since John Charles, we are all anxious for it to happen. Carl is big enough to sort out those that take a dig at him and its not just Carl who has put this out it has been many of us and again myself included, my information has come from different people that of Carls but have said exactly the same thing. This deal will happen, its not clear cut by any means as the club has to be careful not to compromise itself. Those ITK will know what that means those that dont, please dont bother to question it. But I strongly believe it will still happen, its one thing us City fans are short on is patients but in this case we have no option to be.

Carl said that a statement would be made the next day according to his source. Then came back on here stating that another of his sources had contradicted this and said he didn't know what was happening.

James, whose licking ass? 90% of the time Carl gets it right and is well respected on this board and his efforts very much appreciated. The people who are licking ass are the ones who come on here as new members and think that it's entertaining to have a go at Carl one by one then going back from whence they came to discuss elsewhere. There have been numerous people, like you good self, who have come on today just to slate Carl which if you came on more often you would see as unfair and unneccesary.
You could of course try and make a positive impact on this board if your able but by the nature of you first post I very much doubt it!

Now, I have ZERO axe to grind with Carl - I have no idea who he is. My issue is with posters, and that is aimed at anyone and everyone, who seem to fall over themselves to be "first with the news".

I'm also concerned about these "exclusives" - if history has taught me anything, those REALLY "in the know" will only release that information via official sources NOT via a friend of a friend on a message board. No disrespect to Carl, but chances are whoever gives him his information know that the first thing he's going to do is post it here, so what happens?

If it's REALLY "big news" they won't tell you, unless it suits their purpose.

End of the day, we're fans, we pay to get in and watch a game, that's where our rights start and end. To get embroiled in the internal shenannigans is a quick way to turn a hobby/passion into hard work and/or you find that knowing too much affects your enjoyment of sitting there cheering the team on.
