Someone behind me was talking about THOMAS Koumas?! and the people sat next to us said, "It's a nice ground isn't it". When my friend asked the boy next to him who his favourite player is, he said Bellamy, when asked who his second favourite was he couldn't name anymore City players. His Mum then said that he supports Liverpool

I don't really understand why some of these people were there?

The media got them there. We are all media driven. Most people watch Sky and Man Utd, Liverpool
Arsenal and Chelsea are big bucks for them with maximum exposure, so misguided kids get it
shovelled down their throats. Thats why there are tens of thousands of kids in Wales with Welsh Rugby
Tops on. WELSH media is all rugby oriented

We'll get there!!

Not all parents can be like me, I threatened my son daily that he would go to school with
his City hat, City bag, City underwear, City Pencil case, City coat, City fillings, City contact
lenses.... or he'd spend the night in the cellar with the spiders. May have been harsh on a 3 yr old,
but it worked :D

Is it still the case that u cant buy a city shirt anywhere except the club shop, even in the sports shops in and around cardiff, maybe making the shirt more widely available would help?

Maybe they will be swapping those tops soon :ayatollah:

I hope so! It just amazes me that in a City that has its own football team, kids are still chosing to support Man Utd/Liverpool/Chelsea/Arsenal etc. And then to come down to the ground today to see Craig Bellamy in those shirts?!? I don't get it! :?

People get really bothered about this sort of thing, but in reality these kids aren't 'supporting' anyone. If they travelled up to Manchester/liverpool/London to watch these sides, then fair enough, but their 'support' is limited to watching them on Sky etc.

Wheerever you are, you won't win over most of these - they aren't -and never will be - football supporters in the true sense
