HOW WOULD THIS WORK ?

This is the classic modern formation (Germany etc) but you have to play two solid defensive midfielders to cover the back four. The only role whitts is interchangeable with in that formation is koumas.

Unfortunately for chops, he doesn't really fit into it either.

Obviously I believe that there will be new signings coming in and that will change the personnel in the team and on the bench.

The positions I would like to see changed would be Centre Halves, hopefully Loovens and a younger up and coming Centre Half in the mould of Roger Johnson or James Collins.

Also would like to see a direct replacement for Jay on the bench too.

If we were able to sign 3 players, 2 centre halves and cover for Jay then I would let Gypese go and let Hudson cover Loovens and Gerrard fight it out with our new centre half.

I would put cover for Jay on the bench instead of Ross.

I have put Gypese in before Gerrard because for me he didn't work well with Hudson.

I thought Hudson was fantastic yesterday, perhaps taking the arm band off of him freed him up. Seemed a completely different player!

Well it looks like Chops out for a few weeks so:

I'd leave it exactly as it is was when he went off Saturday.

I think the 4-3-3 second half formation yesterday was spot on. it was more like:

The front three interchanging was leaving Doncaster in tatters. I think Whitts has to start in the middle too, at both home games he was outstanding once brought inside with the added passing and creativity, then with the direct running of Bellamy and Burke they didn't know who to pick up or mark.

for me, burke, bellamy, bothroyd, olofinjana and koumas should all be guaranteed starters. that just leaves one place left to fight for between chopra, whittingham, drinkwater and mcphail. my team would probably be

Seriously how can you drop Burke ? in my opinion he was our best player sat and him and Bellamy was outstanding swapping sides,Donny didnt know how to handle him.Sorry Carl i cant agree with leaving Burke out. He would be first on my team sheet every time even ahead of Craig
