I like Ross, I would rather keep him esp with Chops being out for a couple of months!!

In my opinion it is massively short sighted to sell him for the following reasons
We have Chopra out injured
He is great cover for strikers and either wing
We are getting a terrible fee for a player of his ability
At the end of the season, if we don’t go up then we could lose Jay as he hasn’t signed a contract, Bellamy due to his loan expiring and maybe Chopra will fancy another pop at the prem if someone comes in for him, we could quite easily get left with no strikers next season
I would wait until the end of the transfer window. See where we are then, if he is surplus to requirements then loan Ross for 3 months to a championship club with a view of extending that in January until the end of the season. If he hits form and we need him back then great, or he can stay till the end of the season at which point we assess if we’ll need him next season. Hopefully by that time he’s scored loads of goals, we get promoted, decide he’s not needed and sell him to a championship club.
Maybe we need the fee and him off the wage bill to bring in a different type of striker ie cover for Jay.
We have plenty of players for the wide position this year with Koumas, Bellamy, Burke, Witts.
We might lose a few next year but I have faith DJ would be able to sort that next season, whatever division that may be.

i like ross, he's a very good player, not in the same class as chopra but still very useful to have at the club, i wouldn't sell him or loan him until at least january.

Just announced on ssn that we are looking to get Keogh in on loan. Does Dave see this as a direct replacement if Ross accepts leeds' offer?

I would say its a replacement although maybe not direct. Chops wont miss that many games and we dont need Rossco wide anymore. Keogh IMO can hold the ball up well enough to play alongside any of the other strikers we have and can be used instead or as well as Jay.
Good move IMO along with some money coming into the club.

He kept us afloat, and filled the boots of Chops, when Chops left for Sunderland. As soon as Chops came back, out Ross goes.
He's a brilliant player, and should be playing first team IMO.
totally agree with u m8 Brilliant player Good Luck ROSS

with chops out, it could be a major mistake to sell.

Ross has to leave really!!
Chops is out for a few weeks and granted, Ross would be good cover for him!!
But would he really???...........
He KNOWS that Chopra will always be the number one choice. Ross just isnt good
enough to keep him out. Losing 1-0 with 20 minutes to go, its always going to be
Chopra on for Ross etc etc. McCormack knows that now and I think his head has gone.
Last thing we need now is a player on the pitch thinking "Whats the point"
Keogh, with his premiership experience, may prove a genuine threat to Chopra.
Good move IMO
Now get two Centre Halfs in DJ, sharpish!!!
