We were abysmal, put it down to tiredness after 4 on the bounce.
Possibly wrong formation in hindsight.
Swansea looked solid but never threatened us.
Gifted em first goal from a mistake and 2nd against 10 men, was never worried when they had possession.
Just shows how poor the championship is this season if they r flying high.

They are a good passing team and always seem to collect the ball, even from a hacked away clearance. And once they get it they are comfortable on the ball, always have runners and options. They never panic and can even find their men in tight situations within the opponent's penalty area. We are none of this!!
Recently Warnock lamented the tactics he employed in last year's derby at the Liberty. He went with 442 thinking it was an attacking line up but we got outplayed. You would think that Harris would have seen the game and learned something from it. Apparently not!! We should never line up with 442 against the Jacks...it's football suicide.
I've been a supporter of Harris, based on what he did for us last season, but I have a feeling his days may be numbered, even after our mini revival.
I don't think Harris has much of an idea tactically and for the next games we'll be without Kieffer Moore by the look of it.
Losing derby games at home will always put managers under pressure and our league position is not brilliant. We need far more creativity in midfield whoever is in charge.

To be fair I dont think Swansea needed to come out of first gear today. We made it comfortable for them.

There's none of this hoofball that we've somehow adopted, it's skillfull purposeful football which is why their reign in the premiership lasted a lot longer than we managed. We need better players who can keep the ball on the ground, who can put more than 3 passes together without losing the ball and who have something more to offer than long throws and set pieces.

The last 5 seasons? Surely it’s closer to 15?
5-6 years ago we were in Europe, 12 mins away from knocking out Napoli over 2 legs. Our total football style journey started the best part of a decade prior to that.

There were 31 fouls in the game 6 deserved a yellow card. Not every foul is a yellow card.
The referee gives a caution for a foul if he considers one of the following happens
Reckless or dangerous tackle
Prevents a possible advantage
Persistent misconduct usually 4 or 5 fouls by the same player.
Bennett's foul did not fit into any of the above categories so correct decision by the referee.
Bennet did not even trip his opponent, the referee played on and allowed a shot, then correctly brought it back for the foul.

Yeah I didn’t think it was a yellow either.
Surprised to read so many now saying it wasn’t important. Of course the derby means far more to Cardiff than Swansea, many fans only know success at our club, probably a generation or two of Cardiff and Swansea fans only know Swansea dominance. After the last 15 years they have something to prove. Which is why they get so disappointed and defeatist when they can’t get a result.
This was probably the most un-nervy derby game in decades, I even had to look what time kick off was on the day of. Where as looking at both Cardiff forums it seems they were filled with dread. I think that says it all.
Anyway, onto the double. Hopefully Morgan Gibbs White will be back who is probably our second best player behind Ayew. Not to mention Cabango.
