After points, it's decided on the head to record and our draw at Croatia puts us above them.

4 points from our two games is a great return, but in truth that was ponderous

Making Ramsey captain is another mistake, he needs to bow out, father time has caught up with him, he is a shadow of the 2016 player and needs to be remembered for that not the world cup and now. Not sure Page will do anything though

Yes ponderous is the word. Side to side and taking to many touches. The style is OK but it needs to be faster. Playing like we did in the world cup.

Hard to watch, take the 4 points from first two games though. Agree about Ramsey, he went backwards with the ball nearly everytime.

That was the easiest opponents we will have in this group and we struggled. That game could have have easily been a draw, the team needs to wake up and the manager needs to sort the tactics out. How many passes went astray hitting the billboards and constantly going backwards with no attacking options. Very frustrating to watch. On the positive side, 4 points is a great start to the campaign

You're right FootSoldier. I hope these 4 points don't lead us into a false sense of security. We've been pretty poor. I don't rate Page's tactics, daniel james is rapid but hardly ever attempts to drive & beat his man, choosing instead to turn back inside and pass it back to the defenders, impetus gone. Daniel James looks low on confidence and needs a manager to boost him. Is Page the man to do it

When interviewed Page said they played well. Rose tinted spectacles comes to mind. They worked hard but didn't play well - surely he could see that. It was frustrating to watch, so many sideways & backwards passes. No one in the midfield prepared to take the ball forwards. The results so far have been great but (IMO) are papering over large cracks that appeared in the WC and don't appear to have been worked on. At the moment we're going backwards and I don't tyhink Page is the man to stop the slide.

Good start to this new campaign - Result wise

Ramsey was outstanding against both Croatia and Latvia and bossed the midfield and controlled those around him well, he was outstanding out in Croatia and did not stop running for the 60 odd minutes he was on. Morrell is getting better each game.

4 points out of 6, happy with that and taking points off the third best team in the World at their home who have a fantastic record. Samsun next and another great trip.
