Amazing that they haven't closed the book given all the news so far this morning.
I also find that strange. With the information this morning, they'd normally close the book or make him 1/20.
He's only 1/6.

His biggest job if he takes it will be replacing Kipre,Phillogene and Kaba.Huge hole to fill and I don't envy his task.

Perhaps the backlash here and on Twitter has the bookies thinking Sol is the type of guy to heed the will of the fans.
Would you want to come in already seen as a failure?

I'm no CEO of a football club, but what the f**k experience has Bamba got of building a team with zero funds, transfer embargo and a lunatic owner.
Cheap option, as always. I really fear for us this season, the trend is negative.

Its nothing against Sol, what a great, servant, warrior and winner, but it is the whole 'can't be arsed' approach from those supposed to be in charge to appointing the most important role at the club.
A 'that'll do' approach is so offensive to all those who have followed and supported the club over the years.
A message for the Regime.... for Gods sake, the club matters, the fans matter, for the love of God just be bothered to recruit for the benefit of the clubs future.

And feel sorry for Sol. As with Hudson it'll probably end his managerial career. It's all too soon.
I would want anyone to succeed. But as I've said before, this is now a job for someone with experience of this situation let alone managing a football club!!

Agree with this. But the message to the regime should be ... GET OUT OF OUR CLUB. Enough is enough
#Tan out!

We all love Sol hopefully he will see sense and turn this shit show of an owner down.
A threshold was passed with going cheap, dread the start of next season the atmosphere will be toxic

I will support him, but I feel as if I speak for the majority of fans when I say there's a sinking feeling about next year.
Completely agree, it is going to end in tears.

From a footballing viewpoint, this makes no logical sense to me whatsoever,as has been voiced so many times,we need to separate our affection for Sol the much loved player from his credibility,or lack of it as our next manager,Baldrick’s cunning plans made more sense than the complete lack of forward thinking being displayed by our Directors, at a time of year when season tickets are being purchased,do they honestly believe that this appointment,if it goes ahead, will encourage fans to renew their seats?.

OK if we have to go down this road, get Warnock in behind him as a director of football

Welcome Sol let's prey you can hit the ground running and not read too much into the negatives. They all care but sometimes get a bit emotional, not so long ago folk were suggesting you as our manager .
