Of course his minutes would have to be managed. He'd rarely play the full 90 and would struggle with three games in a week. But his quality means he'd be a brilliant signing at this level. The fact a Ligue 1 team want to keep him proves that.

He's now Wales captain. It will be a lot easier for him and his family if they can live at home again.

I've watched the press conference and I'm certain this is done going by the facial expressions of Dalman, Bulut and Choo if this information is true. Dalman did promise some big announcements.

Funnily enough, I heard about a week ago that Trabzonspor in Turkey had tried to sign Ramsey but he wasn't interested.

Ned,

The good news is his family are all in Cardiff living.

That's true my mate sees him now and again dropping his one kid to school .

Your mate's kids schooled at Howell's by any chance, Wez...? :? :laughing6:

Ramsey kid goes to the Cathedral school in Llandaff Chris.

And guess what?
That’s just down the road from ……. Howells school

Sad to say he's not fit for the vigors of the Championship.

Pay as you play would be the best for cash strapped City .

Certainly make some cash from merchandise, gate receipts ,however what will his image rights demands be?

Last season:

Ask and ye shall receive. He played 2099 minutes, so that's an average of 61.73 minutes per game.

I’d be pretty happy with that tbh. Think the average would possibly go down with us with the amount of games being played per week.

Think he was also being eased back into fitness in those figures as well So a lot of planned 20 mins in games I think I am sure people on here post the teams higher win % with Ramsey in team I would take 45 mins of Ramsey class in our team and 66 mins would be great

I’ve always felt that Rambo was synonymous with the City, whilst I appreciated GB’s outstanding football ability, there never was that bond or link, there’s a warmth of feeling towards Rambo which just isn’t there with GB, whatever he gives us on the pitch,I’m sure the overwhelming majority of city fans would welcome him back with open arms.

I'm normally a straight no to older I jury prone players, but Ramsey it's a no brainer the extra ticket sales would cover his costs.

I like the idea of playing him almost always at home and the odd away fixture when there are no mid-week games, give him plenty of rest times to recover and avoid injury, and lets get the best out of him for the whole season.

I like the idea f two systems too, a Ramsey home go for it and a strong defensive hit them on the breakaway fast and direct, which by all accounts is the new boys' best option.

Bale didn't give a toss, he had the chance and chose the money instead his whole career even to the last contract, he could have been a hero, lets hope he looks at Cardiff King Ramsey and regrets his choice deeply.

Bale did want to come home. But the thing was family decided they'd rather (Last minute) live in Beverly hills not Barry Vale of Glamorgan..... Living in Barry myself, I don't blame him.

I think he knows deep down this move cost him and reasonable cause for the poor showing in world Cup. Hence the retirement.

regardless if he only plays 25% of the games for us, there are several positives to coming home for the club, shirt sales, season ticket sales will go up, his presence in the dressing room, it will also make the club more appealing to newer players, hey we have a Ramsey.

on a side note, Bulut said he likes to play the 4231, maybe need a number 10. he would be perfect for that role

It's never too late to make amends, he could come down for some free publicity and do some set play/ specialist free kick coaching with the players a couple of mornings a week before or after golf, could you imagine the publicity and positive effect it would have on the young players to go to traning with Ramsey and Bale.

I'd feel guilty if I was him and would 100% do that for my home City.

Possibly. I think he's just enjoying being out the weekly limelight.
But you never know. When winter draws in. Never say never.

Time to break my silence - About 2-3 months ago I spoke to a family member of Rambo, about next season ....

Asked what/where he would be this season now coming up and said more than likely back in this country .
The main reasons as posted by others on this thread - kids in school here and the family living apart .
Nice have been good to him by giving him an extra day to come home from training to spend with them .
Alone with his wife who has a job/show with S4C - some cooking programme .
Newcastle and a London based Premier League club were interested at the time for his services - I was told .

Hopefully he takes a wage cut and comes back home to Us ....Just as Bellars did

A scoop... of absolutely nothing!!

Ramseys building his retirement home near Rudry, Caerphilly. My best friend quoted the elecical work.

This is absolutely IRRELEVANT information to him singing for Cardiff though, but a good omen.

If any of you think he'll take a pay cut to come down a standard to play for us are in cuckoo land. He'll follow the cash. There will be interest from the prem, no doubt.

Love to see him come back, but cannot see it. Hope I'm wrong.

Here we go again ... It's not a scoop - as you say try and read the main points and I will ask you the question ..
Where does it say he is signing for Cardiff :?: :?:
There will be interest from the prem - You do know Newcastle and a London based Prem League team are in the Premier :?:

Try and keep up with what I have posted - and not make up things which are not in my post .
So if ypou don't understand my post - simple he wants to be back in the UK - is that easy for you to follow :?:
