His offers was turned down £100mill upfront & another £100mill if we reach the Premiership in I think 3 or 4 yrs.

Sam has been told they will never sell it to him and have gone public on that, so that boat has sailed.

Sadly your right I was going to give him a 2nd chance that everyone deserves.

Each year if a club makes a loss , financial rules say you have to prove the owners have the money to cover the losses otherwise under financial rules we would of been penalised big time . This does not mean it’s Tan who has put the money as the document will not say, it’s confidential. It could be Tan, Dalman or a third party , we won’t find out till next year , about the same time as the Sala court case.
new shares doesn't mean new money tho .

Wez,

I am not going to go into anything on this with you, because everything I have said is direct from a professional and a good source in the club :thumbright:

It’s actually positive what I have posted.

It's definitely positive coz it's either debt to equity or new investment.

Investment?

Really?

Remember Ian your talking to Wez, who backs Tan Mo mater what and us still his hero, yet just remember the years of misery he has given us.
Divided our fans, stripped us of pride and identity and given us a huge debt beyond.

Plus court case after court case.

Even Tans Chairnan Dalman takes the piss out of him
you are deaf recently fair play , you are going deaf in your old age ignoring what is written on your own forum, too busy living in the past  .zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I think people are getting excited over nothing .twice last year shares worth more were issued and the other time was in 2018 when a large debt to equity was made, I could be wrong but looks like a debt to equity is going to happen again , no one us going to put 15 to 20 million in as Tan could devalue them with another share issue in the futures as he's got 100s of millions of shares .

Could be Dalman buying into Tan’s shares. Increasing his stake in the club.

It can only have come about in one of three ways

1 -an outside party has invested £17.5 million into the company by buying shares- very unlikely as you would have to be mad to buy a minority interest in a club heavily in debt, with very few assets and run by someone who knows nothing about football. 2

2- Tan or Dalman have put 17.5 million cash in themselves in exchange for shares

3 -Tan or Dalman have bought 17.5 million shares for cash and the club has then repaid £17.5 million of their loan with that cash. This is a round about way of a debt for equity swap, but in the end leaves the club with debts of £17.5 million less than it had.

If 1 or 2 its great news because the club has some cash and indicates we may be in the market for decent players. If 3 at least our debt is going down.

Agree but my bet is that Tan or dalman have taken debt to equity.

I agree. Very short odds on. Be very pleasantly surprised if it was 1 or 2

Fantastic news about these shares, in my opinion.

Please Lord, not Sam ever again. He was old enough and must have been business sufficiently savvy not to have made his financial mistakes about the City. This isn’t meant to upset supporters of Sam and is my personal opinion only. Please don’t ban me from the Board for stating this!

Excellent contribution to a debate, fair play.

Keith Morgan of the Supporters Trust:

"It has come to our attention from Companies House that the club has allotted a further 1,747,956,600 shares with a nominal value of 0.01p."

I have been in contact with the club who confirm what I had thought in that it is a cash injection for shares equating to nearly £17.5m in order to ensure the club remains compliant with Profitability and Sustainability Regulations.

Doesn't feel a financially stable thing to do really, does it?

God knows what's going on behind closed doors at this club!

Hopefully it's positive, but if it's just to keep the rules and regs away, then it's a containment. What's the pro-active plan to get debt free? If its banking on getting to the prem (which we've done twice recently, in debt and still in debt) then we may be in a spot of bother eventually.

It's a perfectly sensible thing to do and credit the hierarchy for doing it...

What it means is that we won't fall foul of FFP this season like so many others did last year...

The debt isn't added to 'debt'; in fact, it's reducex so far as the club itself is concerned and ultimately is on the shoulders of the owner and any other financial contributors, e.g. Mehmet Dalman's Tormen Group, plc

Has to be a positive and puts us in a better position than many of our rivals... :ayatollah:

Understood, thanks.. but where is the money actually going? Is it straight to pay off some debt? Sat in an account so it looks like we're less in debt? Does anyone outside of the board actually know this?
