So it sounds like he'll be playing with Mark Harris at Oxford.
In my opinion, right now, Davies is not a Championship player. I've already said it was the right time for Harris to leave permanently.
Is it possible that Davies can be a Championship standard player in the future? Of course it is, he's shown potential at times and is only 22. I think he's more likely to develop into a Championship player than Harris.
But what Davies needs now is to be playing regularly at a decent standard. That's not going to happen with us this season.
The signings of Grant, Meite and Ugbo mean that it was always likely that Davies, Harris and Watters would be moved on.
Right decision for Watters and Harris to go permanently and I think it's right for Davies to have a loan in League One.
If he does well then there's always the potential that he can come back and play a part with our first team next summer. If he doesn't then that will probably be the end of his career with us.
Bulut has made it clear that any player that doesn't match the levels that he expects would be moved on, and Davies is in that category.
So I wish him luck with his loan move and hopefully he has a successful season there.

Cardiff City striker Isaak Davies is wanted on loan by a trio of League One clubs, according to The Sun’s Phil Cadden on Twitter.
Oxford United, Portsmouth and Charlton Athletic are all interested in the 21-year-old Welshman, who does not seem to be in new manager Erol Bulut’s plans ahead of the new season with the League One clubs looking to strengthen their attacking options before the season starts.
