Ralls is down injured and will be replaced by Ebou Adams.

What a chance! Wintle with a fantastic ball over the top and Ojo takes it down with only the keeper to beat. He goes round the keeper and shoots but Zaidu clears off the line! Should be level.

We keep trying to play out from the back and getting caught out...

Porto turn the ball over high up the pitch and Andre Franco has a pop at goal - but Ebou Adams gets in the way with his first action of the match.

Brilliant save by Costa to tip over Ojo's curling shot

@sheyi_ojo goes close again! This time with a fine curling shot, that the 'keeper tips over.

Ugbo gets the better of Pepe there, zipping past him before lashing a shot across the face of goal. It's all Cardiff... but I said that before Porto scored the opener!

Agree, heavily involved and almost equalised.

I've been one of his biggest critics but everyone deserved a chance to impress the new manager, Ojo is taking that opportunity tonight.

Perry Ng is played in by Ojo and hits a low cross, but it's blocked. Nice move from Cardiff to get there, though. Porto look to break but Adams puts in a massive tackle to put that to an end.

I agree with some of the comments regarding decisions in the final third.
However, I think we have to put into context.
We’re playing a team that play champions league football, and play domestically in a decent league.

Same goes for the Braga game. These teams gonna be a lot more difficult to open up, but we’re creating chances. Just not taking them!

Decent first half.

Trail 2-0 but City have been the better team against Porto, who were in the quarter finals of the Champions League let's remember.

Some good moves by City as well.

Plenty of positives to take.

I dont get this playing out from the back - especially against faster teams.

Created some opportunities and the players all seem to know their roles.

It's been an impressive opening 23 minutes.

Well said, Ned...

We must remember this is a warm-up for a long season ahead and we're doung okay on the whole versus a Champions League side...

Our season won't be determined by the result but the manager will know his players and their capabilities a lot better; and we still have Rambo in reserve...! :ayatollah:

Lots of positives from that half against top quality opposition. But similar worries are there about finishing. For all our play, excellent at times, we've not scored. Credit to Ojo. Best half from him in some time. Maybe a new manager can get a tune out of him.
