So with jesus out what's everyone's plan?
Nkunku?
Wilson or Isaak
Or Nketiah for time being
I'm even thinking of going 451

Provided there's no more injuries in the next week I'm sticking with the three of Nkunku, Haaland and Watkins.
Made a couple of changes in midfield so now a team of:
Pope
Stones
Schar
Robertson
Diaby
Tonali
Odegaard
Mount
Nkunku
Haaland
Watkins
Subs: King, Szoboszlai, Akanji, Lockyer

Nkunku went off injured last night. Knee injury

Says a 75% chance of playing so will stick with him. I've got Szoboszlai as back up.

I've decided to change my front 7 and now playing a 343, instead of 352
Rashford - Odegaard - Saka - Mbeumo - (Mitoma)
Haaland - Isaak - Darwen
I'm pleased with that
Tue Aug 08, 2023 11:50 am
Looks like Nkunku will be out for a while, having surgery.
I've made what I hope will be my final changes before Friday.
Gone with two Man City defenders as they play Burnley and can't see them conceding. Brighton and Estupinan have Luton away, again I wouldn't expect Luton to score in that game.
Meant I had to leave out Robertson, but away at Chelsea there's probably a high chance he wouldn't get a clean sheet there.
Pope (Newcastle)
Stones (Man City)
Akanji (Man City)
Estupinan (Brighton)
Tonali (Newcastle)
Odegaard (Arsenal)
Diaby (Aston Villa)
Rashford (Man Utd)
Watkins (Aston Villa)
Gakpo (Liverpool)
Haaland (Man City)
Subs:
King (Wolves)
Robertson (Liverpool)
Brooks (Bournemouth)
Lockyer (Luton)
Tue Aug 08, 2023 12:03 pm
I don't think I'll be making any changes to my team. I'm pretty pleased with it.
Ederson (Man Utd)
Timber (Arsenal)
Pedro Porro (Spurs)
Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool)
Eze (Crystal Palace)
Diaby (Aston Villa)
Mbeumo (Brentford)
Odegaard (Arsenal)
Harland (C) (Man City)
Isak (Newcastle)
Watkins (Aston Villa)
Subs
Areola (West Ham)
Zouma (West Ham)
Mbabu (Fulham)
Johnson (Forest)

If you wish to place a photo of your team, rather than writing it out, you can do so by following these steps:
1) Open your FPL team on your computer
2) Go to your start button and open "Snipping Tool"
3) On snipping tool press New - and then using the crosshatches highlight your team and subs and press enter
4) This will put them in a box
5) At the time press file > Save As >
6) I save my team as FPL - Bluebirds
as a JPEG in my pictures folder
7) Once its saved I then click the "Upload Attachment" below (Next to the options tab)
8) Then click the "Place Inline" button

I knew I would - I made a few more changes
I sacrificed an 8.5m midfielder (odegaard) to put Eze in. He scored well last year and has had a good pre-season - and has some reasonable fixtures to start the season
That has enabled me to have a front line of Haaland - Watkins - Alvarez
Alvarez is a bit of an interesting one. Ive decided to have him as my 1st choice sub at 6.5m. My thinking is that he scored well last season and will get some game time and if someone doesn't play then he is a likely points scorer.
Not sure whether this is a good tactic or not but Im going to run with it.

So I guess there are a couple of decisions to consider before the weekend:
1) What is the best GK rotation
2) Gabriel v Saliba
3) Odegaard v Martinelli v Saka
4) Darwin v Gakpo
5) Isaak v Wilson
Who wants to start the discussion.

I've gone for Gakpo because I can see having a big season. He's had a few months to get used to the Premier League and think he will really kick on now. Likely to play more than Nunez I think.
On GK, I've only gone with Pope and a cheap substitute. He'll play every game and they have a brilliant defensive record under Howe.

I initially had Nunez in one of my drafts but when I did the number crunching on Fantasy Football Scout (and FFHub) he scored really low.
As for Newcastle Ive not got anyone major (apart from Botman) but I fancy them to finished 2nd behind Man City. I think they will have a huge year.

I am not a fan of gk rotation , I always pick the wrong goalie
Thu Aug 10, 2023 8:12 pm
Who've you gone for?
Im sticking with pickford for time being.
Fri Aug 11, 2023 5:16 pm
15 minutes until the deadline and I'm questioning everyone I've picked
Going to stick with what I've got. Ideal start would be a couple of Haaland goals tonight and a clean sheet for Stones and Akanji.

Last minute change. Reports that Ake is playing instead of Stones, so I've brought in Ake for Stones.
Fri Aug 11, 2023 7:54 pm
I missed that. I made 3 last minute changes out (alvarez Watkins and Enciso) and replaced with Odegaard joa Pedro and Ferguson
My thinking is that both brighton players should play and both are scorers and allows another premium midfielder
I forgot to change pickford for onana as I had the extra 0.5 so hopefully it won't prove costly

Had him for his assists but nice to see
Diaby perfect for PL, will get goals and assists.
Good to have an Estupinan assist as well, shame about the clean sheet.
Sun Aug 13, 2023 11:55 am
Solid start for me with 69 points.
Still have Gakpo to hopefully play today, and Rashford tomorrow.
Decided against Isak but those who did pick him look to have made a wise decision!
Sun Aug 13, 2023 6:29 pm
Gakpo disappointing, will look at replacing him if he's going to play in that position all season.
Chilwell could be one to keep an eye on. Played high up the pitch today so could get plenty of points over the season with goals/assists.
Sun Aug 13, 2023 9:31 pm
I've got dilemmas all over pitch.
Ming injured.
Do I replace pickford with onana?
Got joao Pedro and Ferguson. Would love Isaak but sounds like spurs looking at Ferguson so could be a cheap point scorer.
Botman got me 5pts as first sub (replacing stones) so on 65 points with rashford and b. Fernandes to come.
If I can average 65pts per game that's 2400 at end of season

Think I'm the same and will have to make a few changes this week. Don't really mind losing a few points next week on transfers if I can get the right players in.
Pleased that Tonali and Diaby had a strong start. Their prices will likely go up after the first few weeks I think.
71 points for me, with just Rashford still to play tonight. If he can get a goal that'll be a decent start for me.
Mon Aug 14, 2023 9:24 pm
I think your above me. I'm on 71 after tonight's game
