Georginio, Bamford, Adams, Harrison, Firpo, Drameh, Greenwood and Dallas.

They will be big misses for them and gives us a chance.

But they do still have a strong squad.

If we can start with four points from this and QPR it will be a solid start.

Leeds boss Daniel Farke has revealed three strikers — Patrick Bamford, Georginio Rutter and Mateo Joseph — will miss Sunday's game with Cardiff.

The Bluebirds' season opener is a difficult one and they have their first-choice goalkeeper in Ryan Allsop missing, however Leeds are struggling at the other end of the pitch.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's Championship opener with Cardiff City, Farke said: "Patrick won't return until the first international break and he will miss the next games, definitely.

"Georginio Rutter looks slightly better. He has got a core injury, but he will definitely also miss the game on Sunday and the next cup game.

"We hope he will then return as quick as possible. We hope he is able to play a few games before the international break and I think this will work out.

"Mateo Joseph rolled his ankle on Wednesday in training. We feared a lot and yesterday he was on crutches, but it looks better right now than it was two days ago. He will definitely the next three to four weeks. Because the ligament is damaged but no surgery is needed.

Farke has been faced with various blows ahead of the fixture as up to three Whites strikers have been ruled out of contention.

Patrick Bamford will be sidelined until after the international break as he recovers from a hamstring injury, with Georginio Rutter also missing Sunday owing to injury.

Academy star Mateo Joseph - who featured from the bench during Leeds’ FA Cup visit to Wales last term - had looked poised to make his first league start for the West Yorkshire outfit, although he recently rolled his ankle and has been pictured on crutches.

This should see young striker Joe Gelhardt lead the line for Farke’s side.

Star duo Tyler Adams and Jack Harrison are not expected to feature either.

Romaine Sawyers and Ryan Allsop are the only two sure-fire Cardiff absentees.

In Allsop's absence Bulut has confirmed Jak Alnwick will start.

Leeds are not only missing their three main strikers, they’ve had to call up a few Accademy youngsters and also one or two will be making their league debuts.

Where as Erol Buluts Cardiff City has virtually a fully fit squad.

We should get at least a point, Leeds have so many injuries and they have hardly anytime to prepare , plus last seasons team has been torn apart. Bluebirds

A fully fit squad that, Ramsey aside, looks on a par with last seasons and who technically should have been relegated. Against a team just down from the PL and even their academy players will be a decent level. Add to that a big partisan crowd, I’m really not sure why you believe we should at least get a point.

I can’t see why we can get at least a point today. Leeds have been torn apart over the pre-season and they are full of injuries. Today is a free shot against one of the ‘big hitters’ in this league, we need to focus on winning our home games and the away games will look after themselves. :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

The season begins and it sees the Mighty Bluebirds travel to relegated Leeds United and their large but insular support...

Team news suggests we can get a result and even a point away from home should be seen as a good one. However, I believe we can win today...

Have a great day all those who have travelled and it goes without saying you'll be the louder element in the crowd...! :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Just bringing some realism to the party. At least I won’t come on here and say I told you so.

Dan James runs into the corner but shielded well and the ball goes out for a Bluebird throw-in...

Callum O'Dowda then shuffles Luke Aylings run to the by-line and out for a Bluebird goal kick

Ramsey then fouled woth a mis-timed tackle but no yellow card... :ayatollah:

Refreshing to see the lads playing simple football going forwards, currently missing height in the box for crosses as shown on that attack

Leeds intercept the ball during a decent Bluebird attack and quickly move up the field only to be thwarted themselves...

No doubting Leeds slick play but so far their attack is being missed...
