Yeah so are 50 other clubs with a player or players due to sign but nobody knows who it is though unless your the manager or people within unless its a name thats been mentioned on social media or the web 10 times prior but that would be a guess then not a dead cert

I really am fed up with trying to explain that the players we are after changes from day to day. We have lost a few who were close to signing, they chose not to sign, so we moved on to the next one on the list. If in the morning I gave you the name of someone who is about to sign, then by the afternoon he has changed his mind then we do not sign him. It is that simple. We are not just chasing one player at a time!!!

Agree with most of that.

Although I do believe The self proclaimed Guv has a contact close to the club. However, how many other people speak to this contact?! All the info is ALWAYS online elsewhere too. We all know people in football, close to the club, whether we choose to advertise and share 'gossip' is more a measure of the man.

I agree with what you've said as I have seen it too. Must be discouraging for new posters.

Unfortunately things work on credibility and for transfer window after transfer window, gov puts out what he's told. That's how he's earned some credibility over the years because he's usually in the right ball park.

I've seen it more from other people, but same with them , I've seen anis post the same thing as someone else but it becomes a sticky and gets more hits.... But it's because we know anis everyone does, people are going to listen to him over a new poster. I understand this makes it cliquey and hard for new people to feel heard.
But if someone is so desperate to give information and to be seen, then subsequently pissed off when they don't get heard, but the same information is being shared, is it a issue with people wanting credit? Because if I got information that was then later shared, I get it it's frustrating, but I wouldn't wage war on all itk's calling them up their own arse.

Its just transfers there's more crap going on in the world to be pressed about.
But ultimately I understand the frustration.

Let's just see who comes in , let's get a win Saturday and I'm excited to see what bulut will be able to do with a transfer budget.

Also it's how you read it, when I see very close something is happening, it's more to build excitement and be like oh keep your eyes peeled there's movement. I've never read it as I'm better than you, I know something you don't know. It's just heads up something is happening and it's his style of jokey cryptic posts, because as explained before he can't name contacts or player names due to sensitivity of information. Also things can break down in deals and things that were on can quickly be off. I honestly think people are just overthinking it .

For what its worth, and I do not know IGoverner at all, but he is held in high regard by a number of well balanced posters.

We have not seen eye to eye on everything but I enjoy his posts, knowledge and suspense. Its actually quite interesting, if you accept that, although he clearly has insight, not everything comes off.

It whets the appetite, especially during the transfer season, and ill only get excited when a player signs.

I'd say keep up whatever information you have. For goodness sake, the last few years have been devoid of anything even close to excitement let alone exciting rumours.

I don't care if the poster is a Mod or a Knocker, there are some examples of good and bad in either camp. I Gov is a good poster IMO, and personally, I like to know that there is still transfer activity going on in the background and what type of positions we are looking at.

I am in the Barclay and bluebina Camp.i don't know Governor but enjoy his posts and I don't bow to anyone he says they are close but if players do u turn and it doesn't happen, so what..move on

Honestly, mate. Some people just cannot help themselves.

Tbh because it's a forum each side is valid, it's okay to feel a bit crap when invalidated. But if everyone just avoided each other we would never have a good debate on here... Which is kinda the point of a forum. People post views and some agree some disagree.
There's lots of active members on here and I know I'm not going to see eye to eye on everything with everyone.
I'm a new poster too but I don't demand attention, I just post my two pence and if it's seen and interacted with then great.
I think there will always be let downs and disappointment for people who expect attention and their info to be taken seriously and given credit straight away.
Things take time, and if you are getting information that is right... Wouldn't you expect mods and admins to get the same information and feel it's a obligation for them to post that information too?

As always, I'm not saying I don't understand the frustration, I just don't experience it because I just add to existing posts and interact with people. I just think people can get angry for not being seen or validated, or they can limit expectations and see it how it is. Or mods and admin team could see the post made with info and make it a sticky or add to it.
I just think the mods will always post what they know regardless of similar posts. Often we have 5 threads with the same theme or subject matter, there's only an issue imo when attention and clout are involved.
But that's just my opinion, everyone likes to be right, seen and validated.
