I don't actually know anyone in support of this nonsence.

And even in the BBC article it speaks to supporters. One a guy whose brother was killed by a car going 30mph... in 1994!!!! As if that's the most recent example of someone who is in support!!

The BBC are more out of touch with what the majority think than Drakeford-and that takes some beating

Question, do you honestly think the dicks in the senedd will reverse it because of a few signatures? They fuckin passed the bill.

Well, they’re (WAG) receiving threats now. Should never come to that. If only for good governance.

Just seen a video from the senedd where it was brought to the attention of drakeford. He was asked twice if he'd reconsider and twice he scoffed and replied no.
Was all he had to say about it and the petition

On a positive note, this is exposing the Assembly, Labour, and Drakeford in particular, as the actors they are.
I don’t know who should run Wales. There has been ever decreasing wisdom in governance since the disastrous events of 1999.

Twats in bucket hats are ok tho.. wilfully blinded by patriotic nonsense.

Maybe it's because they still remember what Maggie did to them 40 years ago?

Either way, don't forget that the original 20mph proposal was from a Conservative AM, and that most of them voted in favour of its implementation.

You’ve got to love that one about Maggie shutting down the mines, because that’s a job that literally no one would want to do these days, just ask any old miners you know about it….Wales is being ruined by Drakeford and Plaid….akin to North Korea in that they will just do whatever they want and listen to no one. If I was 23 I’d be leaving.
With regards to the 20mph, quite a few cyclists I know are saying it’s a nightmare as they are going faster than cars and undertaking everywhere, near misses abound as neither partie knows what the hell to do….

Wales has sadly been a one party autocracy for over 20 years.

Totally undemocratic and ruinous for the economy and Welsh NHS.

To think they're now looking to bloat the Senedd out to 100 members as well for a small principality.

It's an utterly flawed system and needs to be undone. There is a deep rooted cultural antipathy here to anything which is aspirational. Large sections of Wales are rooted in traditional voting for Labour going back decades - they refuse to vote for anyone else for no tangible reason - bordering on blind insanity.

Labour voters need to now wake up... almost 25 years of the Arsembly and totalitarian Labour/Plaido rule and the country is in a worse state than 'when they took over' officially, as we all know they were engineering their Welsh fiefdom long before.

This hating the Tories thing is the ultimate reason while Wales is a literal desolate shithole and an economic wasteland. People forget that in the 18 months or so before Labour were beaten, back before Maggie, they closed more mines across the UK, faster and more furiously than she did. Not making excuses for her, but the writing was on the wall for UK mining, gas was coming and the North Sea was ramping up with 'cheaper, cleaner fuel for heating/cooking'.

All we have going for us is the landscape and Labour are hell bent on f*cking that up by allowing 'foreign' companies free reign to pop up huge wind turbines and dig our minerals out of the ground - even when the local Labour tribe 'refuse permission' and 'vote with the people's feelings' as they did in RCT over Craig yr Hesg quary expansion It was all a cunning ruse, the RCT Labour grandees knowing full well that Julie James would overturn their decision with the real decision. A decision that was foregone after they themselves sold the council owned land to the quarry firm many years ago to shore up their ill spent profligacy.

The same will probably happen up in Merthyr with the 'mine' on Dowlais Top - Labour in the bay will roll over when the firm promises to restore or develop the land - the firm will then either directly go tits up or give it the old begging cap as we haven't got the money to rectify our rape of the land.

Folks need to do something different - radically different - vote Tory - hold yer bloody noses - its only 5 years if 'they f**k it up' - no point in voting for the Reform/Scrap tiddler type parties as they come and go and only muster 1-2% at best. Lib Dems are quite quite crazy in my view and will drive Wales deeper into the mire, quicker than even Drakeford and his ilk have done.

Welsh Labour have shown with their antics and latest dictats that the days of Labour being for the common man are long since past. Consigned to the dustbin of history, a few dirty chapters in the story of how we find ourselves today in Wales.

You think this is bad, the policies are only going to get crazier as governments around the world chase ridiculous, self-serving Net Zero policy.

This is how bad Labour want it, pay per journey roads, congestion charges, extended ULEZ and worse. They simply have to be removed from power as are dragging the country backwards, as they always have done. No new road building, 20mph national roll out and they want all of the above:

I didn’t like the way Drakeford just dismissed and gave a one word “No” answer when asked about considering changing the 20mph due to this petition. The fact that it’s 417,000 now is significant. Only 440,000 people voted Labour in the last Assembly election. only 517,000 people voted for devolution that gave us the Welsh Assembly! So to dismiss this I think is Un democratic.
The Welsh government dream up ways of keeping us safe…. Different and confusing Covid lockdown rules to England, Minimum pricing on alcohol in shops that does make people drink less it just makes them poorer, now they making us drive at 20mph instead of educating people how to cross roads whilst not texting or listening to EarPods etc!
I agree with 20mph outside schools. And housing estates (like council estates and new build estates and cul-de-sacs) where children congregate could even be dropped to 10-15mph I think it’s hard to drive faster than that in those areas. But main roads running through towns and villages should remain at 30!

Taken from Welsh Gov website. Showing Road/traffic injuries and deaths lower in 2022 than 2019. I know it says a slight increase from 2021, but 21 was tail end of Covid lock down. So an increase was probably logical.

He’s a blinkered ideologue who’s 100% sure he’s right, who views the Welsh electorate like silly children who don’t know what’s good for them. The long term damage this dogmatic clown shoe will do to the country will take decades to correct, if indeed there’s anyone within the incestuous cesspit that’s the Assembly capable of doing so.
