Got us to a cup final (which we were a penalty shootout away from winning against Liverpool) and promoted to the Premier League for the first time ever.

Remember he only had about 10 first team players when he first took over.

Struggled at Wigan (who were in decline anyway) after but did a good job at Ross County, shocked they’ve let him go and hope they go down now.

He’ll rightly have a place in our club’s history.

Spot on Ned.

Malky was class for us and his record proves it.

His win percentage was slightly higher than DJ and less than Alan Cork.

Fascinating read the article on their percentages.

For money spent I would have expected higher but then his cardiff team drew so many games.

Certainly for the money spent he should have been better.

When he didn’t have money he made some class signings. Gunnarrason a particularly good one.

First season: No money at all Play offs and League Cup

Second season £50 mill / Champions and other managers had had big money for years and failed to go up, you can have all the money on the world, but it needs a good manager.

Premier League / Tan was on his back 24/7 trying to pick the team / threatened with the sack 24/7 / hostilities behind the scene , and just look at Tans record mainly yes men work for him and we fail.

Kenny Miller 900k
Ben Turner 750k (class signing)
Joe Mason 300k (sold at a massive profit)

So he had some money and his wage / signing on fee budget was quite high
