Great signing.

Alnwick has dropped off recently and I think fear of having to play Runarsson instead is making people quiet on that fact. Not denying he’s had good games but he’s had more bad than good recently.

Our 2 current goalkeepers are not good enough. Very good signing for me.
As they say, get this team a good spine 1st then work around it

I know this is underwhelming but we desperately need a number 2 for cover and competition, Runarsson is awful and Turner is developing.

I also think we have lost a bit of quality in our overall GK setup since Dibble was sacked by Morison. I believe that an academy coach is doing it now plus Dibbs would have been consulted on new recruits. Alnwick is fine but I noticed this a while back because the GK area has always been our strongest and most consistent position on the pitch, and the decline started when Morison sacked Dibbs, Runarsson would have never have been here if Dibbs was around, he needs to be brought back, as it was much better when he was here.

There was an academy coach doing it.

But since Bulut was appointed, he brought in his own goalkeeping coach.

We know about the arsenal flop but in my opinion and most on here a reserve keeper has been very low down on the forum and fans list whether we need a reserve or not i was just saying probably the last position on the field at the moment where we need an urgent change .

That's easy to say, but we could be one handle outside the box or a nasty collision away from losing Alnwick.

Probably as important as any position to get covered.

Plus as been pointed out city got a new keeper coach brought in by bulut he probably feels a permanent keeper is required now not next season when runnason goes bac

Thanks. I still think the Runarsson thing is odd and it's something that wouldn't have happened with Dibbs. We do need to number two for sure though.

Good signing
I am not a huge Alnwick fan in truth
I reckon this guy will be our number one
Permanent signing and hopefully sends the loanee back
We need to bring CB cover in too, which will probably underwhelm fans , yet these positions need to be addressed

Good signing if true. Better than what we currently have.

He was, played a lot of games last season.

He is needed as a good back up.

But as a poster said apparently he can score goals as well

He'll have his work cut out there Annis, unless Bulut deploys new attacking ideas!

Spot on - If this comes off those stats above would give us 2 keepers playing to be number 1 .
Also someone on this board mentioned this guy a month or so ago if I recall .

Runarrson back to arsenal, frees up a loan signing and good wages, makes sense for me and as good as alnwick has been may well be our no1

Certainly better competition for Jak Alwnick and I expect him to be given an early opportunity to show his skills... :ayatollah:

When? and what's your source? or are you just blind guessing like some others.

If Cardiff City are able to get a deal for Horvath wrapped up, it would mark some impressive business for the Welsh side. He’s barely played this season but he proved himself as a reliable shot-stopper in a promotion-winning side last season.

The arrival of someone of that pedigree should please Erol Bulut as he bids to strengthen his ranks this month. Blackburn Rovers and Hull City look poised to be left disappointed, so they’ll have to turn their attentions elsewhere if they want to sign a new goalkeeper this month.

As a permanent addition, Horvath can hopefully come in at Cardiff City to hold down the starting spot for years to come.

Reporter Darren Witcoop has also said on X that Blackburn Rovers were alongside the Bluebirds in making enquiries over Horvath. Hull City were also linked in a separate report from The Telegraph.

Horvath sees his Forest contract expire at the end of this season, penning a three-year deal upon arrival in 2021.
