Going back a bit but Phil Stant. Eddie May was manager.

Also a shout out for Cohen Griffith who I think we signed from Kettering after impressing on a good cup run with Kettering. I think Frank Burrows was still manager then or it may have been Ashurst.

The capture of Ronnie Moore got me very excited at the time.

Trevor Sinclair or Jimmy floyd - different class

That goal against Wolves in the F.A Cup was probably the best goal I have ever seen live. Still watch it back now

When he let it run through his legs and bent it into the top corner? I was there that day, I went to all the fa cup games that year even chasetown and Hereford !

Bellamy on loan for me too. Remember they even beamed an image of him on to the wall of Cardiff Castle haha.
The other memorable (not favourite) signing for me was Richard Langley. Remember being on the Grange End as a kid watching him do ball juggling at half time on the day they announced him.

Peter Thorne

Andy Legge, he gave absolutely everything for our club & still supporting us now.

But he’s a Jack! Like John and Mel Charles,Ivor Allchurch, Barry Jones, Jason Bowen,Barry Hole,Alan Curtis etc etc all great players!

One of my favourites in recent years is Joe Mason
Came from nowhere , pretty much, looked about 11 years old
Scored THAT goal against Liverpool, plus quite a few more very important goals for us
Summed up the Malky years for me
Everyone playing for the shirt, which elevated many that would have been pretty average in any other side

The best thing about Joe Mason was the 3m we got for him off Wolves. Only surpassed by the 8m for Ken Zahore off WBA We ought to try our luck with a few more of our duds.

In hindsight of course it was great business so fair comment
Neither were duds for me though
I remember at the time Zahore was sold , most on this board either wanted him to stay or expected a bigger fee
He looked almost unstoppable in the championship at that time
Mason had gone off the boil. so 3 mill was a lot of money
When he signed I was going home and away and he always put a shift and a half in, scoring some very important goals and getting young player of the year from the fans
Not saying he was the best signing or close, but one that sticks out for me, especially as it often looked like a strong gust of wind could blow him over
