Exactly the problem - we create little from open play and that will continue until Bulut decides to take the breaks off and sets his wingers free from covering their bloody full backs!

Fans are so fickle
Not played a game yet and already slated. People saying 1 in 3 ain’t good enough? Who do you think we are signing? Haaland?
January is a very tough time to make permanent signings. Let’s just get what we can, stay up and have a proper rebuild in the summer.
Wed Jan 31, 2024 6:07 pm
This is not a bad signing at all. Target men improve with age, he probably has adapted his game a bit and we just need someone to hold onto the ball to allow us to get our attackers into the game.
Etete is just not up to it at his stage of career and Meite is a winger, a decent occasional flick on but better with the ball at his feet facing the goal

His stats don' t look good last few seasons since leaving bristol?
Wed Jan 31, 2024 6:14 pm
This guy has almost exactly the same ratio of goals to games in the Championship as Moore so let’s give him a chance, shall we?

Neither do Moore’s since leaving us?
I think this is a good signing and a definite improvement on what we have. But the club are also looking at another striker to come in tomorrow as well.

Could say exactly the same about Diedhiou. He’s played 16 league games in the last year with Granada, not starting many like Moore.
Before that he scored 11 goals in 28 league games for Alanyaspor.

OFFICIAL:
Cardiff City FC is delighted to announce that striker Famara Diédhiou has joined the club on loan from Granada CF until the end of the campaign, subject to international clearance.
The 31-year-old possesses experience of the Championship from his time spent with Bristol City, where he netted an impressive 46 goals in 154 league games.
Diedhiou has also played across Europe during his career, featuring for the likes of Clermont, Angers, Alanyaspor and Granada, with a further 27 international appearances for Senegal.
Famara, who played and scored for his country in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, becomes the latest ex-Robin to make the move to the Welsh capital in recent years, following in the footsteps of Lee Tomlin, Bobby Decordova-Reid, Aden Flint, Marlon Pack and Callum O’Dowda.
Our new recruit spoke to Cardiff City TV after signing in South Wales: “I’m feeling great. I’m happy to be back in English football. I’m very happy and excited to join the Club. It’s amazing here, it’s a great environment and a good atmosphere.
“I knew the gaffer before from when I played in Turkey. It was easy with him and I’m happy to join the team. I also had a message from Callum O’Dowda; we had a little conversation before I joined and I’ll be happy to see him again.
“I played in the Championship before, played many games and scored many goals, so I’m coming back today ready to work and with confidence. I want to do the maximum for the team.
“My confidence is high. I’m ready to do my best for the team. I know I have scored a lot of goals in the Championship, so I hope to do it again.”
After securing his second signing of the window, Erol Bulut commented: “Famara is a good striker and the good thing is that he knows the league.
"He played for Bristol City for four years and scored more than 50 goals there in all competitions. The players around him are also important, but I know him from Turkey when he was with Alanyaspor.
“Famara wants to show himself again and I hope he can do that with Cardiff City until the end of the season.”
Welcome to CCS, Famara!

Another plaster to cover a hole. Yet again, no long term planning. Let's just tick over season after season.

The big rebuild must be starting next season.
Unless of course the ffp rules pop up again or we have to get all the loans off the books.

The question is whether this player improves our team and I believe he does.
It’s difficult to buy players in January and often prices are inflated.

I agree this new striker will improve up front but lets be hinest it would' nt take much the lowest scorers in the division with the weakest frontline we have had in years
Regarding players to expensive in january
Will there be a big price drop in the summer when we embark on our promised rebuild or as i said to foot soldier is ffp going to raise its head in the summer again and we have to shift alm the loans out again like ground hog day.

Players are always more expensive in January, that’s just a proven fact.

Of course he would be. Because you can sign someone in June and the selling club would have about three months to sign a replacement. In this window, they’d only have a couple of weeks to sign a replacement even if a player was sold towards the start of the window.

The constant bullshit is exhausting. As you said Groundhog day.

That's good news will keep an eye on his value and look forward to the big rebuild in the summer.
This new stiker inside i would give this lad my support
i was just a tad underwhelmed i guess after what has been mentioned the last few days it just seems we are slipping down the list and dalhman needs to be able to say "i" backed bulut.

Why do people think January window is same as summer window when it comes to players price or loans? All loans go back to parent club unless stated otherwise when sign (option to buy) as for price well they are inflated in January because clubs can be desperate for couple reasons close to relegation or playoffs clubs will pay more to get players in especially a forward 5m in January but 4m in summer always been that way...... As city are relatively safe no panic to buy unnecessarily unless bargain! loans can be far better financially for city..
Think next season city will need around 10 players to make a full squad with end contracts and loans going back..... better save money now and hopefully use next season.

Who knows but if you read the news the reason there's lack of signings in premier league is because clubs scared of ffp look at ncastle ?? If premier clubs are scared what must it be like in championship where clubs spend money don't have.... as you know ffp is rolling 3 season thing so maybe the austerity city have been under past
3 seasons will benefit them next season and club can spend more money time will tell? Unfortunately like everyone else on this board I have no idea of city's financial status regarding ffp .... fortunately I don't take what people on here or what club says on face value prefer to wait until I know better...... not sure what's the point of getting uptight over something that hasn't happened yet (end of window) when it's over then I can say whether it's been good or bad..

Yes he will do a good job getting us top half and rebuilding in the summer when there is a full fruit and veg shop not like Jan when there are just three battered carrots left at £2 each

Wed Jan 31, 2024 8:09 pm

Wed Jan 31, 2024 8:14 pm
He's better than what we have. I'll take that for now.

I got him mixed up with Neco for some reason. Must be the Liverpool link.
