I had a similar discussion about us losing when a poster wanted us to lose so that our manager at the time would lose his job, didn't understand it then & still don't.

Agreed. My argument has always been if you love your team you want them to win every game regardless of the circumstances.

I just don't have that sheer hatred inside me that you and others must have towards our friends from the west.

Since I first started supporting the team back in the 60's, a defeat always rankled, no matter who the opposition or the tournament and that will never change.


That’s fair enough mate, If they dropped out of the league and we never had to play them again I’d be happy. Probably due to the fact that I am so passionate about the rivalry and we never turn up.

I remember the Culver Pub, now a carvery/food place. They should get some football on the telly's as i think it would do good business in the pub side. Doubt they want the "riff raff" in there mind

Yeah great pub back in the day, but you’re right, they wanted to move away from the “riff raff” pub atmosphere.

I’d be very interested to compare their profits now compared to when it was a pure pub pub.
