If we get another 8 then loads must be going. Ralls, Wintle Siopis, Turnbull, King, Adams and Ronomhota as well as junior Colwill.

Not a fan of Buluts first season, but he seems a bright bloke so I would be shocked if he doesn't change his base set up, christ we were static.
Convinced the only way we can play his way is with wingbacks a 343 rather than 523, last season we were almost 631 at times.

Are the club due to make an official announcement and put this to bed for the fans? Some great players being released by clubs so perfect time to dip into loan market aswell

I can’t say when they will as you know as well as I they are always late and unprofessional.

Annis, this falls in line with what we were told last week and it makes sense IMHO

I just hope we all get behind manager and team in the way we know we can and let him develop the team to further improve on last season

Sorry to be negative and interrupt the positivity in here, but that’s a shocking decision.
I stand by my opinion that he brings with him possibly the worst style of football I’ve seen for years. We simply had better players last season that rescued us along with the help of a late or own goal or 2 (Kitchen)

We play so incredibly narrow. No width at all. Too many like minded players in the middle of the park and we are a strikers graveyard. No bugger ever in the box to get on the end of a ball, which is why our top scorers are bloody defenders. The worst of all for me is the no press when we don’t have the ball. We could be 2 down and we’re either refusing to make a challenge or the keeper and cb’s are playing football roulette.
I will pray to the footballing Gods that the new coaching team are more EFL savvy and there’s more to Bulut than Turkish tactics.

His constant tinkering was also baffling.
Rubin plays a blinder. Not selected to start next game.
I’m not sure he ever did know his best XI?

I sincerely hope youth gets a chance with both Colwill’s, Conte and Giles.

I'm hoping if he brings in a few morevplayers that the football improves coz last season it was dire and some games dam right pathetic the way we rolled over , I will back him as he's the manager of our great club but I just hope he improves.

Anyway, it's been good for traffic, this and Mike's board would have benefitted from the constant check-ins for info.

Wow. Our club really is being run by idiots. The timing, the delay, the lack of awareness and communication to us fans.

And then there’s Bulut. Well I know of at least 3 mates who won’t renew because they don’t want to see this man’s one boring predictable tactic every single week. On top of the many I know who haven’t gone since hapless dictator Tan turned us red. My son and I have, anniversary year and a hard habit to break. We loves the ritual. We will support our club always. But the thought of this man’s Turkish tripe on the field every week makes my heart sink already.

Clean slate, we go again , not my man but glad an appointment has finally been made. I will back him from game one. I will sing his name if he entertains me with goals, points , creativity and offensive play and a good feeling of having a right go when we lose. The latter being really important to me. Most important of all, a plan b and c , to be adaptable and prove he can play other formations and tactics as he has not done than once. I’m not expecting play offs just to see that football being pinged forward to options rather than tennis from side to side then back again. That will make me happy, an improvement in style over play offs. If that happens we can go for promotion a season later. I am not hopeful, I predict the same , and therefore by Xmas more division in the fans we have left. I will know if he’s changed just by watching that inverted slow build 4231 for the pre season games. Please prove me wrong Erol, you’re a nice man, a poor manager in the EFL. That’s why nobody came in for you.

Should have gone all out for Bellamy. Cooper unrealistic but a dream appointment. Missed the boat on Osian Roberts.

Not aimed at you but there's always the discussion that those who bought already were always going to rather than sitting on the fence to see what happens

I lost any enthusiasm for Bulut after the Rotherham game, the ideal opportunity to field the youngsters, instead we had the loanees who were all going back to their clubs and a dismal display which the manager tried to shrug off with ludicrous claims of a bias referee!, I just can’t bring myself to react positively to this announcement,I will be more than happy to be proved wrong, time will tell.

Most are happy with the appointment while a few like myself after those last 2 matches of last season made me shiver
but i am hoping we play like we did at the start of last season with ramsey playing a part and we where in 5th spot
But after the swansea home game we lost ramsey and our style changed no press and it slowly went down hill

But our main priority has to be if possible 2 decent strikers not sticking with etete and farmer dido otherwise we will see crowds in single figures.

I'm glad. What an absolute shambles of a timescale to resolve; I can't imagine it'll do much for the Tan/Bulut relationship but that's only my opinion.

The facts:

- He's got the highest league position in 3 seasons, stopping a declining trend to L1
- Equalled the best number of wins for the past 6 seasons (1 of those was in the prem, but equal to our 5th place finish and greater than the 3 seasons before)
- It's clearly not all rosy - some of our losses were terrible this year; 22 losses is bottom 6 figures.

My opinion:

- He now knows the team, the characters, the good/bad and indifferent. Someone else new would have been learning this throughout the season.
- He should be able to get more of 'his own' signings in. Buy him a striker Tan FFS or or could be anyone managing this toothless attack and paying decent money for a manager is pointless.
- He should play youngsters more, but we seem to have a pipeline; with Rubin being the star of a bunch of potential.
- WE NEED THIS STABILITY! We were on a 1 way street to league 1 and now can build.

Mehmet Dalman was the negotiator between Erol Bulut and Vincent Tan and was able to secure Bulut a Two year contract.

This is great news IMHO and gives the club the stability in management that it so desperately needs

Sounds like he is being backed and I really hope that is the case. Erol Bulut seems to know who/what he wants and is already planning ahead

Hopefully, this will raise spirits amongst the club's support (with some exceptions) and wecan look forward to this summer's business

I know how you feel. Those last two games left a nasty taste in the mouth despite them being “dead rubbers”.

However, whilst Bulut’s tactics/selections were very disappointing at times we can’t forget what a massive improvement last season was compared to the previous two seasons.

He now has a decent summer window to, at least, wheel and deal and sort out some of the glaring gaps in the squad. If there is any money spend then it should all go on a proven Championship striker or two !!
You simply have to pay for goals, do the wheeling and dealing in other positions in my opinion.

Glad that the stability is now there and let’s hope Bulut makes us eat our words !!

Far from your biggest fan but you did just about enough to deserve this new contract so well done.

Now make us horrible and hard to beat first please, no more rolling over like we did way too much last year.

And for gods sake, go get us that striker that can hit double figures

Get those 2 things and you'll have us all on your side...fail on either and you'll find next season a lot tougher than last
