Whenever we get linked with a striker these days people say they’re too old, too young, come from a foreign league, come from a lower league etc.

I get it because let’s be fair, our record of signing strikers in recent years has been poor. But at some point one will go right, let’s hope it’s this one.

Clearly highly rated because Hertha wanted €5m, I just hope the fans support him and give him a chance. Won’t help if people are criticising him before he’s even played or saying he’s not good enough if he doesn’t score in the first two games.

I’m cautiously optimistic about this signing. Seems to have all the ingredients to succeed in the Championship - pace, strength and good finishing.

Looks like the cat is out of the bag on Wilfred Kanga then. Cardiff have been fearful of another team making an 11th hour attempt to gazump them, hence kept it closely under wraps. But all things being equal he’ll be a Bluebird by Tuesday night, the striker they’ve wanted
