Spot on.

Whenever we get linked with a striker these days people say they’re too old, too young, come from a foreign league, come from a lower league etc.

I get it because let’s be fair, our record of signing strikers in recent years has been poor. But at some point one will go right, let’s hope it’s this one.

Clearly highly rated because Hertha wanted €5m, I just hope the fans support him and give him a chance. Won’t help if people are criticising him before he’s even played or saying he’s not good enough if he doesn’t score in the first two games.

I’m cautiously optimistic about this signing. Seems to have all the ingredients to succeed in the Championship - pace, strength and good finishing.

Looks a good player, seems to play off the shoulder from the young boys highlights. Could be a very good signing.

I know the JB sung the song for bony.. but could we or would we want to get this going…..

Come on Wilfred Kanga score a f*cking Banger

With this happening would this free up the transfer money for Cantwell? Didn’t Bulut say two of the three signings had been mentioned?

Kanga, Robertson and cantwell/mcateer this week?

I’d be really happy with these.

Didn't we say exactly the same thing about Ugbo last season?

We need a proven championship striker to push us towards the playoffs and if that means we have to sell Colwill or NG to meet FFP rules then so be it.

If this is the only striker we are bringing in then we will finish in or around 12th again.

Ugbo didn’t have the all round play that Kanga supposedly does. He also didn’t have the market value.

Not sure how you can instantly say he won’t be good enough when you haven’t actually seen him play.

Like I said, I’ll judge him for good or for bad when he plays for us and not before.

Exactly. People go on like there’s proven Championship strikers available all over the place but it isn’t true.

Stoke have just spent £1.5m on Gallagher from Blackburn who hasn’t hit double figures in five seasons.

Cautiously optimistic about this signing.
