He would be a good shout, likely to go North of border and play for one of the Old Firm sides however.
Tsnodua is intrigued option if the club wants to invest from within.
Josh Beecher is also a youngster at LWB who can possibly be a future gem. Getting international recognition also playing with U18s and U21s and he's only 18 years old.
Kapakio and Conte look very capable as cover on right.
Which should keep Buster on his toes.

Yeah, can see him ending up at Celtic or Rangers.
What about Nathan Ferguson, still only 23/24 I think and I believe he's been released by Palace.
Seemed a decent player a couple seasons ago.

Yes one of two Phillips being the other, and possibly a third on the list, no name for him.

Nothing on Twitter yet.
Talks of a defender close but no names mentioned. It’s not Phillips, big wage demands and the fee Liverpool want are out of our range.

Just a hunch, nothing more.
Bulut wants 4 cb's so no selling of Macca, unless there is another on the list that Bulut is happy with

Didn't the manager tell us all this after the reading game. Who it is nobody knows except many of the names already posted online over and over on social media, so we shall see if it's one of them I guess.

another name in the mix? the Bluebirds are credited with an interest in SK Beveren forward Goduine Koyalipou, who scored 17 goals in 32 games for the second tier side in Belgium last year, winning the league's Golden Boot award.

Would be delighted to be wrong. He was brilliant for us last season and would be one of the best defenders in the league.
If we had Goutas, Chambers and Phillips it would give us three top quality centre backs.
Whoever it is, I am feeling more positive.
If we can add Robertson and a left back, we will be in a good state.
It's all about opinions, but I hope Phillips doesn't return. His Liverpool pedigree plays no small part in some people's judgements, and I thought he was frequently off the pace and often looked leggy towards the end of a game. The 1st CB position has to be the now fit McGuinness..

Disagree. I thought that Phillips was very good. Comfortable on the ball as well which is crucial with the way we’ll be playing, unlike McGuinness.
Of the players we have now, I would say Chambers and Goutas should and will be first choice.

Unless we play three Cb's

In respect to Nat Phillips what if we agreed to sign him on a seasons loan, for £2m, with a clause that we purchase him for a pre-agreed figure of £5m if we are promoted.
Surely that would suit everyone?

Far better deals around than spending what for us would be a princely sum for Nat Phillips. Remember he played in nearly all the games in which we were turned over last season. We need to be far more circumspect with our finances and not lump it all on a player who is not that special, even if we do achieve promotion..

I wouldn't be happy if we did that.
Hes a great player at this level but to pay 2m loan fee for a season, no thanks.

It would be interesting if someone could compare the stats between Macca and Phillips last season - who had the better record? Blocks, interceptions, passing accuracy, clean sheets, goals conceded and goals scored. I think Macca would come out favorably in comparison.

Cardiff City, Stoke City, and West Brom are considering a move for Charleroi centre-back Stelios Andreou.
The Cyprus international has won 19 caps for his country, and has made almost 100 appearances in the Belgian top-flight.
It's thought he could be available for £1.25m in the summer window.
Cardiff City, Stoke City and West Brom are all interested in Charleroi centre-back Stelios Andreou, who could be available for around £1.25m this summer.
The 22-year-old came through the ranks at Olympiakos Nicosia, before moving to his current club in 2021, and he has gone on to make almost 100 appearances for the Belgian outfit, who play in the top division.

But, it appears Andreou could be on the move this summer, as Football Insider has revealed that Cardiff, Stoke and Albion are all tracking the defender.
The update adds that Charleroi could be willing to accept an offer of around £1.25m for Andreou, who still has two years left on his contract with the club, which should put him within the price range of all the clubs mentioned.
