He should be involved with the first team set up.

Not saying he’s the finished article but there’s a player in there for sure.

Purse, given time, will ruin him.

Purse must have had some input into signing him, and when he did sign he was photographed with Purse. There were not many on here who were pleased with this signing as shown in the link below.

I may be proved wrong but I don’t think Tanner will ever be a good Championship player, others clearly disagree.

But let’s see what we’re all saying about him in six months, it won’t be good.

That will be mostly down to him, not Bulut or the coaches.

Unsure if he'd be ready to go up top as a lone striker from the off. Last 15 as a raw talent is something we don't really have as an option.

Totally agree keep him in the first team Squad

Let’s hope they don’t coach the fearless streak out of him Seen so many kids where that has happened

Think that Tanner is one who has had fear instilled to his game and has lost some confidence as a result! Well done coaching team!

No, Tanner just isn’t Championship standard.

He’s done one good thing for us and that’s scoring against Swansea. But that’s it.

It’s not about confidence, it’s about ability.

Then again, you know all of this. Of course it’s easier to take a cheap shot (and entirely untrue) against Bulut and his coaches.

I do think at times you're a bit ultra defensive of Bulut and I'm not sure why. Tanner was given a contract and added to the first squad so Bulut must see something there that can be developed to Championship standard.

I disagree completely that it's just about ability - confidence in professional sport is half the battle, that's what your head tells your body to do and its about having belief.

Tanner seems like one of these young players that needs the arm around him as well as the kick up the arse. I think he can do it and has come a long way since Lewes. Spurs were looking at him and they must've seen something there.

He does need to show more admittedly but I think he tried last night albeit in a less important match.

I do have to defend Bulut because others seem to be going over the top with their criticism after one league game.

Will also point out that your post implies Bulut signed Tanner. He didn’t, he was signed by Morison.

He looked a real handful. Let him loose at the weekend.

I saw enough key qualities in that cameo last night to keep him in the first team squad for sure. Encouraged!

With robbo out injured. He needs to be thrown in to start saturday as kanga doesnt look fit or sharp enough. Reindorf looked good the other night, could look better playing with better players too

Clubs make mistakes, believe it or not.

Why did Villa let Philogene go cheap to then re-sign him a year later for big money?

Yes clubs do make mistake I would just like to know why in there thoughts was that he was not good enough I have been impressed with him His finishing in the games I watched were clinical and looks a right handful. Villa must have seen something in Phologene as they put in clause to have him back if they matched other offers However it has to be one of the worst financial arrangements I have ever seen from a club point of view Basically paid near £9 million to loan him out for the season Nothing is crazier than football finance

Probably the most expensive 'mistake' that springs to mind is Paul Pogba being re-signed by Man Utd for £89m.

Also, we let Jarrod Bowen get away so as you said, clubs do make mistakes.

Hopefully Michael Reindorf turns into the gem that slipped through Norwich's fingertips.

He only signed a professional contract with them last June and then had a trail with QPR in October last year while still at Norwich and after QPR trail he went out on loan to some non league team. As someone stated he reminds me of Jerome Reports say his fitness levels are outstanding and he had played in midfield as well
I like what i have seen from him so far and let’s hope we benefit big time

The biggest i can think of is Messi Barcelona agreed to pay for the £4000 per month growth hormones when he was 14 and Real Madrid would not that why he went to Barca I did read that now if that is true and I really don’t know if it is Whata mistake

I've been supportive of Tanner but after the Sunderland game I'm inclined to agree with you :o :laughing6:

Once El Ghazi is fit and hopefully we get cover at LB so O'Dowda can play wing, I can't see him getting much game time this season.
