This is an absolute disgrace,a guy that was very highly thought of in Scotland last year yet is given no opportunity to stake his claim with the City, Bulut has no intention whatsoever of giving any of our young players a whiff of a chance, I’m fed up of hearing his misleading statements about how promising our youngsters are, then effectively sidelining every one of them.

A loan to Christmas seems the best idea and maybe we get a premier league loan in as well.

Agree. If the above are fit- a big if I concede!!- then a loan until Christmas will do him good provided he is a regular starter with Stevenage, a side who are only a league below us and were in the play offs for a large part of last season. And if he isnt a regular starter that will say a lot.

Really?

If Eli King is good enough, then it’s now.
He will be 22 yrs old.

Continue with Dads army and we will go down.

I will say it again in 14 years not one player from sending them continues out on loan has ever come back to make it a Fact.

My gut tells me that either Rinomhota or Wintle will be staying or we will have to take double hits on them. The fact that 2 peak-aged Championship CM's are still here tells me we pay very well......

Regarding kids on loan, Ralls and McGuiness came back much better players but there are not many I agree.

The problem is the top academies steal any potential at schoolboy level, and hoard players with only a minuscule number ever getting anywhere near their first-team squad. Then there is a whole industry within the club organising loans to show off their product like cattle. letting them go relatively cheaply but with large just-in-case sell-on and return clauses. 99% of Arsenal fans have never heard of Mark McGuiness but are happy for the two million.

If King has a good early season and we have injuries, we get him back match fit, if we are doing well we could sell him to L1 clubs who need a boost. If he can't make the grade we have messed up again.

The club is a mess, we all agree we need a DOF but Tan doesn't think he needs one, nuts in todays world.

Sorry I meant the players who have come trough our Academy?

As to McGuinness he went out to a Big Club Sheffield Wednesday going for promotion, a put we did not send our Accademy players to clubs like that.

Its only just dawned on me why the club does not go to great (any) lengths to publish youth games, it keeps the big clubs scouts away. It may just be we are poor, you never know with us.

Back to King, I think if we keep Rinomhota on decent bucks we need to play him so its easier to send Eli out for four months

Doing well in League Two and Scotland is not the same as doing well in this league.

But I see know sense in loaning him out yet again. He’s either good enough for the Championship or not.

If he isn’t, just let him go permanently.

Agree with you not sure he's that good .

I don't think that's the case with the scouts.

The scouts will know, it's their job to know.

We've had lots of young kids signed up by big clubs like Man City. Scouts would have had to be there.

Eli King , fittest at the club , a player with potential not given the chance . It’s more to do with the management not being brave enough to play the youngsters . Out of interest who is the best finisher at the club ? Cian Ashford I believe , scores goals yet not given a look in . We can’t hit a barn door with a banjo and still doesn’t play him . But plays Meite or etete.
Unbelievable poor management

Eli king has gone on another season long loan, not long after But has given King a new contract.

King 22 years old in a couple of months believed he was ready for first team football this season with the Bluebirds.

Bulut and King had a little bit of a different opinion, but Bulut still insists we need him.

It will come as a disappointment to some, who believe King is ready after his succession of loans, and to the player himself, who believed he was ready to make his mark this term.

Earlier today.

Erol Bulut said: "He will go for loan for the season, he has two or three good offers for him”

“I am thinking he needs one more year to play continuously.”

“I want him more sharp, he is good on the ball, but I need more aggression, you have to be more aggressive against the ball.”

“Another season away he will come back stronger and ready.”

"I hope this season he will play many games and come back much, much stronger, because we need him here.”

"I spoke with him and I didn't hide what I was expecting from him.”

“Eli has been a little bit of a different opinion with me on that.”

“But I didn't see that in pre-season games. Not many games, but I didn't see it. But I cannot wait for somebody, someday to be aggressive, you either deliver or don't deliver. I don't want to lose time on that."

I am in a minority but I think he's made the right call. King offered little in pre season games or in the recent cup game to suggest he'd have an impact on the first team or in the Championship this year. As for Dad's army? We've just signed three players in their early twenties. Things will change. Are the academy players good enough? No, is probably the answer but that's the fault of Purse and the club hierarchy not Bulut

Revel on King -

Former Bluebirds player Alex Revell has opened up on Stevenage's capture of Eli King from Cardiff City.

King, who has joined Stevenage for a full season in League One, has been on the club's radar for some time, according to Revell.

Revell hopes King can fill the void, in terms of quality, left by Manchester City's Finley Burns, who impressed so much with the League One club that he earned a loan move to Hull City this summer.

"Eli is someone that we've liked here for quite a while," Revell said. "He's got a real good stature, six-foot one, full of energy and athletic.

"From our point of view, we really believe he is above this level.. He is a forward passer, he wants to play forward but he can deal with the physicality.

"We see Eli a bit like Finley [Burns] and we hope that he has as much success as Finley. But I feel Eli may have more quality playing forward and understanding the role a bit more.

"He might not be as defensively minded as Finley but we can get that."

Well you will probably agree with the latest one Kieron Evans as well.

….And he didn’t even play today! Didn’t even get off the bench for Stevenage.
