Please don't call this Tans 'choice'. It's not a choice at all. It's a simple, cheap, quick way to resolve a minor inconvenience to Tan called Cardiff City.

Appointing him mean zero thought has gone into the importance of a replacement, and it's a 'that'll do' decision.

Rog, I was told Alexandersson was here on footballing business re FC Kjortvik and not to be 'interviewed' but I can see why some would believe otherwise

It may still come to pass but the feeling is he wants to give Omer Riza a chance before looking elsewhere

Strange Club 'R' Us...! :ayatollah:

Does he even have the nessasary uefa badges to practice in championship? If not its a no go regardless of tans opinion.

He has a UEFA pro license.

Only need an A license to manage in the EFL, so yes he's got the right license.

If he is as committed and a good leader as good as the last Icelandic fella, gunnerson, and plays attacking style, and can get the best out of our players, then why not give him a go.

Passion is what I want to see. :bluescarf:

If they get this appointment wrong again we will be down .We been flirting with relegation for a few years now.
Get this appointment right and we have every chance get it wrong and we will go down it's as simple as that .
This guy is a wild card may end up paying off but for me we are not in a position to gamble now again we did that and look at us now bottom of the league without a win.
It's all crying out for a director of football as the board haven't a clue who to pick its all guess work.no philosophy of how to plat at all .It's a pun tan is not a stupid business man but he is a stupid football man .let a director of football make the choice a lennie Lawrence or warnock as a qualified adviser.
Not this flipency all the time we have to get this right last chance now Mr Tan

Pro License is the highest level. Need a pro license to manage in Championship full time, but can get a managerial job if they are an A license holder who is on track to pass their pro within 3 years of appointment date

I might consider it, if he brings Aron Gunnarsson as his No.2

Yes it's been denied, they may have had a chat about our situation, but he will not be a long term Cardiff City Manager, I doubt;t he will even help out for a few weeks either.

Freyr Alexandersson has dismissed suggestions he has flown in to hold talks with Cardiff City over the vacant manager's post.

According to reports in Belgium, the KV Kortrijk coach missed a few training sessions last week allegedly due to illness after the match against OH Leuven

However, it's claimed he had actually travelled to Cardiff to speak to the Welsh club about the possibility of succeeding Erol Bulut, who was dismissed from his post with the Bluebirds at the weekend following the 2-0 defeat at home to Leeds United

KVK 'stunned' by Cardiff reports

Freyr Alexandersson's club KVK have said they are "stunned" by media reports in Belgium which stated the manager was in Wales last week for talks with Cardiff City over succeeded Erol Bulut at the club.

Media on the continent claimed the 41-year-old was in the Welsh capital for discussions with the Bluebirds hierarchy.

Freyr Alexandersson, manager of Kortrijk, is one of the leading candidates to succeed Erol Bulut as head coach of Cardiff City.

The Icelander reportedly flew to Wales last week to talk to the Championship's bottom club.

Ale Anderson has since been back to Cardiff City’s Stadium.

It’s believed he is Tan’s first choice.
