Former West Brom and West Ham boss new favourite for Championship job -
The 56-year-old has emerged as the front-runner for the Championship managerial vacancy.
Former West Brom boss Slaven Bilic has emerged as the new favourite for the vacancy at Cardiff City.
The Bluebirds are on the search for a new first-team manager after parting company with Erol Bulut a fortnight ago. At the weekend, it was reported by The Mirror that former Baggies boss Tony Mowbray was under consideration, and was on their shortlist.
Despite news emerging that Mowbray, along with Nathan Jones, Alex Neil and Steven Schumacher had all been listed as possible contenders, Bilic is currently leadign the markets for the job.
Three bookmakers; BetVictor, Dragon Bet, and the EFL Championship’s sponsor Sky Bet, all have Bilic at the top of their lists. Nothing official has been reported by any media outlets close to Cardiff, but punters have seemingly backed the former Everton defender over the last few days.

Not the first time he's said stupid things in a press conference, seemed to do it every week when he was at Southampton and was a bit of a national joke.
I don't see him coming to us. Would never have been my choice anyway so not bothered about that.

No there's better out there ... let's see what a decent manager like billic can do with this squad .. riza already shown it can play football so tan needs to build on it.

More ambitious than I thought tan and the board would be. Been in Saudi for a bit so not sure if he’ll still have the drive for the grind of the championship but got a decent pedigree and managed at a high level. Wouldn’t be disappointed at all with him

A few people on Twitter saying there's a bit of a power struggle going on with the board (I have no idea whether it's true).
Supposedly one of the options is Bilic and the other is a manager based in the UK (possibly Schumacher).

Would be more than happy with either.
