Surely a lot of clubs would be clambering for a player of his calibar for a season? It's not like they've not had opportunities to see him play for both our and the nation teams youth system.

This isn't a dig it's a genuine question, because I can't get my head around this?

The point is the lad was an unknown outside of Cardiff circles but has subsequently shown himself to be a useful player and many clubs will have taken note of his situation. Just shows how little attention is paid to the U21 teams.

Correct Martin,

Other than Cardiff City’s Staff Joel was unknown and it was a last minute decision by Purse and Bulut.

So hopefully things like this will now finally Stop.

Not sure I can agree he was unknown outside of Cardiff Not with the amount of data around on players from academy levels up He has also played in the welsh youth system as well Any clubs scouting system worth anything would have known about Joel that is for sure
He had also played games for the first team as well

Geography is going to play a part with young players, we need to find a club quite close to home at a level where they can thrive and gain confidence playing against established professional footballers, it might turn out a good move for us all.

It looks to me like the job is done, he's gained some valuable experience and should be ready to train with the first team and maybe come off the bench in a few games in the second half of the season. If Riza is still here I think he'll call him back in January, he looks like a Riza player.
